Well done JJ. Tip my hat to MickeyBlue as well. Visited Kalbarri for the first time in February this year. Stopped there a night whilst riding to Monkey Mia. Keen to return and support them when things reopen; it’s a lovely little town and everyone we met was welcoming and friendly. We had dinner at Findlay’s and the couple we sat next to operated businesses in town and were saying how things had become so busy so quickly after the first lockdown lifted. I expect they’ll now be in for a dry spell, like most there, until they can reopen. Our thoughts go out to them all...and a few dollars into the Lord Mayor’s relief fund.
Hey mate been to kalbarri for the last 10 years for holidays. As im sure thousands have. What a fascinating video showing the full fury of mother nature. Sucks for the property owners, but my word what a sight to see all that damage. The even crazier thing is this was only a cat 3 storm, lord knows what its like after a cat 5 cyclone. Thanks for the look around, hopefully kalbarri will be up and about not to far away, but it looks like its going to take years. Hope all is well with your family. Cheers.
Thanks for doing the video mate , Kalbarri is a very special place to us . I’m very sad to see this happen glad everyone is helping each other out. Kalbarri will be back better than ever
Great stuff the Australian way .great video very sad the amount of damage its been a few years since I last visited Kalbarri im sure it will look beautiful once more with the help of chaps like your self an others .
Such a shame, Kalbarri is an awesome place. Just not built for these severe weather events that are rare to go that far south. A cyclone like this would go through Port Hedland and do no where near as much damage as the buildings are built to withstand strong winds. Hopefully the people get the assistance they need and we can come back and visit again.
What a mess. I think they are going to have to start changing the building codes. These things haven't come south that often in the past but that is probably going to change. We stayed in the old riverfront units last time we were up there. Sad to see them completely destroyed.
But they'll let you know in great detail about yet another mass shooting in the states or a dead monarch as if it affects anyone here. This is local and of concern to citizens here,
Thank you for helping out! The generators will help a lot for those staying in Kalbari!
What a disastrous storm for the area. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, that's a lot of damage, worse than what was shown on tv. Lucky nobody was killed. Well done on being so proactive.
Well done JJ.

Hats to ya brother 👍👍

This barely even got a mention in the news services. Typical really.

The tv never tells the truth, ever.
