Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) for Psychology

Errata: it has come to my attention that the different branches allow for different scholarship lengths with the army and air force offer 1 and 2 year scholarships, while the navy offers a 3 year scholarship. If you intend to pursue this program, go talk to a recruiter for up to date details. And consider this video as a general outline of what the program offers, with specifics that primarily apply to the army.
Most of the information about the HPSP focuses on the version of the scholarship that goes to physicians (MD/DO). As someone considering the HPSP for clinical psychology, I had a difficult time finding information about the program that applied to me. In the end, I requested an information packet from the U.S. Army and talked with a medical recruiter (Captain Bowlings, hopefully I spelled his name properly). If you are considering the HPSP, I can't recommend contacting a recruiter enough.

Additionally, the scholarships include 3, 2, and 1 year scholarships.

The age limit is 36 years old. I believe hpsp students still attend the direct commission program not OCS.
