EUNBI comes up with ideas of comeback especially the title track. She was talking about the album and not the title song, I guess she didn’t vibe with the b-sides
For me Underwater is a great album as a whole and I respect Eunbi's opinion. At this rate I just trust Eunbi cause she continues to impress me in every cb~
I've seen that question of male/female friendships come up on Korean TV shows multiple times, and it's always perplexed me that many Koreans believe it's impossible for a guy and girl to be friends. I think Eunbi has the right mindset in that it's about boundaries and being intentional. Now, maybe it's a bit different for young idol girls, as they are incredibly beautiful and charismatic, so it may be harder for them to engage in platonic relationships with the opposite sex. That said, I think there's a difference between attraction and actual romantic feelings. With some of my female friends, there was an initial attraction just based on appearance and first impressions, and in time that passes, and now we're just friends. That's different compared to the true romantic feelings I've had for a few girls in my life thus far. Just my two cents.
Yep, it seems weird to me to decide you can’t be friends with 50% of the planet basically just because of what’s between their legs. It’s very silly to me, the whole idea of it. I get it a bit for idols bc they get slandered for anything. But IMO it’s unhealthy to only have friends of one gender. If u cant get along with 50% of the world, YOU and/or your culture are the problem
Have a girl say to her male friends she wants to have sex with them and watch how many will take her up on the offer. At the end of the day, they might act like they only consider her a friend but deep within they would not pass on the offer to fuck her. There is always exceptions of course, but they don't make the rule.
I can understand STAYC. I mean, I love Teddy Bear and now Bubble is my #1, but maybe in one of their next comebacks a little more mature because their fans are getting more mature too. Still I trust Rado because so far he did everything right. He also made Cake... yes I like it :) Somi dancing to ASAP was wow 💖
People who don't believe that male-female friendship exist without feelings for one another probably never had a genuine male-female friendship before🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ just bcs u guys never experience it, doesn't mean it's impossible
Such an oldschool way of thinking. Guys and girls (straight) can obviously be friends. Though, in adulthood, most of your non-same gender friends are your partner’s friends and you don’t really hang out 1-on-1. Sumin’s point though is also important. If it’s a friendship that’s been established for YEARS, then that is different completely.
@@skillbopster no. I didn’t. As adults, you don’t usually hang out 1-on-1 with most anyone anyways. You have opposite gender friends but most straight people would rather it not look like anything. The exceptions to that are if you’ve been friends with that opposite gender person longer than you’ve known your partner. It’s insecurity in your partner at that point. Like, most adults don’t make new friends. You might have workplace “friends” but those aren’t the same thing. No straight adult is going out and making new adult opposite gender friends outside of the workplace. The type of friends you make as an adult are very different than ones pre-graduating college.
Love how you put straight bc whenever this topic of discussion comes up I'm always annoyed how this doesnt include lgbt+ people, like I get that this is a korean variety show so they most likely wont openly talk about smth like this. But as a bi person this is always so weird to me bc that means I couldn't even have any friends just bc of the "possibility" of me liking them...
As a 19yr old I still believe that guys and girls can't be friends either one will have feelings for one another at some point so I don't agree with your opinion
Why tho she’s been on here 4 times already and plus knowing bros doesn’t usually bring a solo artist by themselves cause it would get boring with just one guest & they usually bring on solo artist in a group with other people.
Teddy Bear is suited for certain audiences. That audience is much more bigger than you think so. For me, personally Teddy Bear is fine but it's really a bit slow and only the choreo makes up for it. Mian.
That Sumin friend, I can say he's a reliable enough. Maybe he has a little feeling, but further relationship only happens when they want to go forward and cross the boundaries. If not, you can just stay as friends until become Uncle and Aunty.
Yo entiendo a STAYC, cuando escuché Teddy Bear no me gustó mucho, era demasiado. Después me gustó, sobre el puente y las partes de Isa. Sin embargo, me gusta más Beautiful Monster!!
the segment about boy girl friendship was stupid theres so many things wrong with it so when the opposite gender shows a little bit of affection suddenly theyre not your friend they have feelings for you (im not even gonna talk about the lgbtq aspect of it) ive seen this type of thinking in koreans a lot and its honestly not healthy
Because there's something to prevent between male and female these conversations of can the opposite sex be friends is always a thing If those who don't have that same box thinking don't see each other the opposite sex as just tools to make a baby That might sound harsh but it's like you're just trying to prevent the opposite sex from making a baby because other than that they can have a relationship just like the same sex could
I didn't and still don't like "Teddy Bear," so, to know that stayc doesn't like it either makes me feel better. It just feels like Black Pilsung is making them do music that they don't want imo. I haven't liked their title tracks since run2u, and that makes me mad bc they have such a good discography when you listen to their b-sides.
I’m not against it if it brings them success. The producer calls the shots when it comes to releasing music, especially when it’s someone as experienced as BEP, and the girls knew that they had to trust him and it paid off well since Teddy Bear got them their first Inkigayo and highest ever MelOn charting. I, myself, was also taken aback by Teddy Bear, but I enjoy it now at least. They’re also only 2 years old as a group and I’m pretty sure they’ll take on more mature concepts as time goes by. Something along the lines of Apink’s Dumhdurum or Eung Eung would be great.
When J said there's no way to guarantee he doesn't have feelings for you that's the same in any relationship including female friends so I don't really understand her point.??
I disagree with J and also the other dudes. Men and women can absolutely be friends. Just because two are the opposite gender, doesn’t mean they will fall for each other. Also, to J’s point, yeah, you can’t guarantee the two don’t have feelings for each other, but the same could be said about any other relationship. I liked what Eunbi said, it’s important to have boundaries.
It's common for people who spend a certain amount of time together to develop romantic feelings. It's why office romances are a thing. To argue otherwise is childhood naiveté. Only way that wouldn't happen is if they don't get too close, meaning they aren't friends. Even Bambam said he saw Eunbi being serious and deep once at a gathering and he had feelings for her for "10 minutes". They're still friends but didn't change that feelings can develop.
@@paco100x Yes, that’s the proximity effect. It can happen, but it’s not guaranteed and that’s the difference. It will all just depend on the individual, situation, and circumstance. To the point made in the video, thinking men and women automatically cannot be true friends simply that they may “fall in love with each other” is quite childish in my opinion. That would imply that every individual of the sex you are particularly attracted to and come close with/spend a lot of time with you’ll automatically develop feelings for or have a romantic connection lmao. I find this type debate in general is just outdated and doesn’t take into account of other perspectives and aspects, like the LGBTQ for example. To your Bam Bam example, and as it won’t always be the case, yes, we know you can develop feelings for some time and it go away and you remain friends; that can happen. That circles back to Eunbi’s point of having boundaries. I think we have a pretty good understanding of each other’s viewpoints and perspectives. Thank you for expressing yours eloquently and respectfully :).

this is so normal though, alot of friends dont reply messages immediately, let alone meeting up immediately. i have friends who reply after one week, but yeah i’d say those are horrible. 😢
i think she just means with their busy schedules it's normal to not see each other often or answer right away. Even harder to fit in blank spaces to meet up!

I didn't know Eunbi didn't like the "Underwater" album when it was the song that made me stan her 😭

EUNBI comes up with ideas of comeback especially the title track. She was talking about the album and not the title song, I guess she didn’t vibe with the b-sides
This is the BIG reason why they have CEO/PD like stayc PD said trust me on this one for teddy bear

I badly want them to do more stuff like Beautiful Monster. I know it's not well received but I personally love that song so much 🤧
