Los here: Hey, we love comic accuracy when it works! Just because something is straight from the page doesn’t mean it automatically translates well to live-action. Jack Kirby’s art is legendary, no doubt-but adaptation is about more than just matching designs. We’re just not sold on how The Thing looks in motion yet. Hopefully, the full movie proves us wrong!
Hey, we get it-The Thing’s new look has a lot of fans, and that’s totally fair! But for us, something just feels off. Whether it’s the design, the texture, or just how he fits into the overall aesthetic, we’re not sold yet. Maybe it’ll look better in motion during the full movie, but right now, we’re not convinced. Appreciate the comment.
2:15 it looks utterly terrible, that entire scene genuinely looks like it is made from clay, the fantastic suit makes his body look like a balloon and has no texture to it. In other scenes, it looks better, but you can't tell me that scene looks good.
You are the only people that agrees with me about the thing, yes he looks comic accurate, but he doesn't need to look like a claymation, even the sound effects sound like clay? 😂 Korg looks comic accurate, but korg actually looks good, and he is the same type of character!
The Thing's design is pretty good, if you ask me. Much closer to comic accuracy than the 2005 film. I'm not crazy about the full-body jumpsuit but as far as his size, features and skin texture, he looks great.
@@GameMediaOutlet I agree. I'm hoping that in post they add a little more bass and rumble to his voice. Thing is a big guy and his voice should sound suitably large and rich.
Oh no, the internet disagreed with us! Guess we better delete our channel… or, you know, keep having actual discussions about movies instead of just nodding along with the crowd.
The look of the thing is closer to the comic, but the head needs more squared off brow ridges. Also the CGI look is what's wrong with the Hulk, Korg and now the Thing. I think a mix of practical and CGI would work better.
Are you guys drunk The THING looks beautiful you clearly haven't read an FF comic! Probably the best version of THING on screen. His voice may take getting used to but visually that is The Thing!
I like Jack Kirby but this version of Thing doesn't fit the overall look. Because humans in the film are not in Jack Kirby style. He looks out of place and look like belong to a Sonic like movie tbh.
@TheCinemaSubway you're just describing being a contrarian, Dr. Different. Popular opinions are actual opinions. They're popular cuz lots of people have them. For example, in my opinion, your bad attitude is the reason you got only got 24 subs. Crowd seems to agree.
@@gorbla1231 Popular doesn’t always mean right, and different doesn’t always mean contrarian. But hey, if the crowd’s keeping count, let’s see how high that sub number goes. Appreciate the view!
@@TheCinemaSubway in matters of legality or morality, yes, popular doesn't mean right. But in terms of style, it kinda does. Take ugly sonic for example. If you thought first trailer sonic looked better, you're entitled to that opinion, but it doesn't make u right just cuz ur different. And what you said: "we'll stick to having actual opinions" implies that only unpopular opinions are actual opinions, and that saying something that people wanna agree with and makes most people want to nod their heads in agreement is somehow lesser.
@gorbla1231 I always loved the saying opinions are like A**holes, everyone’s got on. Whether they are good or bad or popular or unpopular opinions that’s what they are. Just Opinions. I have nothing against anybody who thinks the thing looks great. I’ll even respect that opinion. But I for one wasn’t blown away by it. I might be in the minority who thinks it wasn’t good but I’ll defend my opinion. We have a follow video coming soon where we address this unpopular take. Opinions can change. Maybe another trailer might change my mind. We will see. ✌️
Give it up? Nah, we’re just getting started. If a little disagreement tanks a channel, the internet would be a ghost town. Appreciate the engagement, though-keep those comments coming!
Nah, I disagree. He looks like he was ripped straight off a Jack Kirby drawing. Great comic accurate look!
If it helps 1/3 of the group agrees with you.
@@TheCinemaSubway Where did you learn math?
Don't you just love it to watch people that doesn't read comics seeing comic accurate things in movies
We doesn't do not read the comics tho
@@TheCinemaSubway love how the only *good* comeback from you is mocking grammar
@@TheCinemaSubway That shows how illiterate you are

Most of people disagree with you my guy, the thing looks amazing in this movie

happy to see the comments came to disagree with this take lmao
the thing looks like what the thing was orginally sketched up as, basically youre wrong, theyre awesome for doing that lmao
Y'all buggin. I think The Thing looks good ❤
Yall have clearly never read a F4 comic. You know more about the Jetsons than F4. 🤣🤣 The Thing looks sick ‼️
Los here- Man, I love the Jetsons! I also love F4. But not loving how out of place the cgi looks.
Guess this conversation is trash! This is the best adapted, comic accurate version of the thing so far.
Thing looks very comic accurate
ehhh i think he looks good
With the save of the day.
What an awful take lol. He looks 100% comic accurate and is by far the best looking version we have gotten
That's not saying much...CGI is still shit
@TheCinemaSubway Not even a little bit, but whatever you say.
Rage bait
If you think this is rage bait then I don't think you're ready for Akash's hot takes.

His voice sounds a lil off to me.. but we'll just have to reserve judgement till the movie drops

He looks comic accurate in the worst way, only the shirt looks different
THANK YOU!
This guy gets it.
nah this video is obviously rage bait because this is the best the thing has ever looked in film.

Would you like the Thing to be played by a real rock?
Unsubscribing for this pretentious content. Saying thats trash for being comic accurate. Jokes
How is this pretentious? Too much CGI for comic book accurate can still look bad - also...we both know you weren't subscribed 🤨
But its the Thing is comic accurate? Do these guys read comics?
It looks like the comics
Man that Akash guy’s take is wild. Get this man off this channel 😂
