when the 1975 release songs without words it’s always to create imagination and listening to this for the first time this is what i pictured; i’m feeling numb, alone and it’s quiet as i begin to close my eyes to sleep where i feel like i’m going unconscious but i’m still in a conscious mind, i open my eyes to hear loud rattling and my room begins to shake with only me hearing it, i imagined being abducted by aliens into a little spacecraft where i was stripped and they began experimenting on me. i was then transmitted into a huge dome with a lilac and pink sky, the sound of birds and just fresh green grass and huge trees scattered around the dome. i imagined myself floating and trying to balance my own 2 feet just above the ground, no sign of “human” life yet but a cat was staring at me, the cat was white with warm dark eyes and in that moment i realised i could feel again, i felt stronger and more powerful, it seems the aliens had experimented on me to make me better than my soul on earth was. then the song ended.
This song is absolutely incredible. Gives me all the feels. These boys are so underrated, I wish I knew more people in my real world life who appreciated these lads as much as I do.
