Eargasms everytime i listen to this, this is a masterpiece, probably came back here for over a 100 times in the last 3 months. awesome Joe, you're great
@@didierduplouy I like the amps he's using in this performance soooo much, he changed to those wimpy Fender combos in Red Rocks, four 100 watt heads and eight EVML 12's sound so full in this performance! The power alone makes the hair stand up on your arms!
BY FAR the best version he has yet played. For a musician, Royal Albert Hall is like getting the gig to play the SuperBowl. It is the absolute PINNICAL as a musican
@@spumemonk11 Good is good. This isn't the Olympics. Whatever great guitar player I listen to, then that person is the greatest in the world and it's the best tune ever.... _in that moment_ I've come to realize after decades of holding a guitar in my hands, there is no sucha thing as 'best'. You reach a certain level of expertise, then they all become side-ways equal to each other. I just love a great steak...but certainly not every day. Guitar players and music is exactly the same, imho. Joe is on record as saying this solo is Gary Moore inspired...a tribute to Gary. Gary Moore was another world's greatest guitar player. The best of the best, lol.
To me, this was bonamassa at his best. I think his playing was the most genuine at the Royal Albert performance and seemed to be a real "guitar players" concert.
You can actually HEAR THE TEARS OF LONELYNESS in this SOLO. what a performance Joe. Keep it up. The guy in 4:45 also "says" it all. Fuck me... Lets stay strong all you guys reading this, I am also so damn lonely. Its gonna be okay. Dont give up. Truth is the gold.
I agree with what everyone is saying here. Joe’s 2009 RAH concert is my very most favorite concert of all time. Can’t say enough good things about it! Every song and performance is superb, plus we get to enjoy Eric Clapton on guitar and Paul Jones on harmonica, plus all Joe's top-of-the-line band members. ...love Sloe Gin, Mountain Time, Happier Times, as others here mention…as well as Asking Around for You, John Henry, Django, Last Kiss, Just Got Paid in tandem with Dazed and Confused, Blues Deluxe, and absolutely all the performances at that concert! It was MAGNIFICENT!
I heard this song when out a bar tonight and for the last 4 hours I jammed away to its backing track. It's the most powerful blues song I have heard in years and gives me the chills when listening and God it's so perfect to play along with. Very few songs are this powerful to me in 50 years, and I'm so blessed to have found this masterpiece.
I love his incredible talent along with his talented band. ❤️ I have over 50 hours of JoeB in my library - I just immerse myself in his talent!! So lucky to live in his awesome life of music and touring for his fans. He truly outdoes himself with each performance.❤️🎸🎙️😎👏🤗
Joe - you're going to be remembered just like how Clapton and other Gods are remembered. I started with doubts about your music and couldn't stand my ground in front of your brilliance for more than a song!
I do believe that Joe Bonamassa is the greatest gutarist the world has ever known sometimes I think I hear words coming from the strings when he plays there is no distortion and every note is crisp and clear absolutely amazing and its really sad that he isn't on every radio station
My sister’s nickname was Dino throughout high school. Dino Deblazio was her guitar mentor and she took his name. This song reminds me of her. Love you, Adeana. ~Adriana
I am currently in JAPAN , far away from the comfort and familiarity of home , far away from my dogs…and very conscious of the void left by my best friend, my beloved wife….so this incredible song and the passion behind the delivery …made me feel …it was written and performed for me…it’s so very real
Don’t know how to express my total love for this performance, Joe is the absolute BEST! I love this…love Joe! ❤️.¸¸.☆ So happy to see it uploaded to the channel by the good video fairy!
In Colorado, we stood up for the whole Joe Bonamassa concert. In the "Royal Albert Hall" where he put on the show of his life, they sat in their chairs like a bunch of corpses.
Why does standing up make the music sound better? It just means the people behind you can't see unless they also stand up. So annoying when people do that at a concert.
When I’ve been jamming to this over the years. I know as of now I hadn’t seen this version. I kick myself for not going to see him when he was in my city in New Zealand. I don’t know why I missed it
Apff Joe is playing the soul out of that guitar .... and it pains me to see that only few out of the public are really enjoying and living in that moment...
At least they give him attention, I hate seeing people talk to each other when a player gives it all. It's so disrespectful. But you have to be a player yourself to really enjoy what he is doing in the most perfect way.
That drummer. He's incredible. Listen in full, but watch when he's on video and listen. Kaboom. That gent is first class. I'll get back to my gin but, now to find his name.
This is the best song ever I ear ,I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm feeling goosebumps 💥❤️💥💥💥❤️❤️🥰🥰❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️🥰🥰 Joe you Rocks 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 From Canada ❤️🥰❤️❤️🥰❤️
Is that an Epiphone Les Paul? It sure sounds great. Truly gifted with voice & instruments. Thanks Joe, love your music. Great band all the way around. Love all the talented musicians & vocalists that appear with you. Big thumbs up.
He apparently has his amps on full, and you can hear that in the clarity of his sound. He said this was influenced by British guitarists like Clapton, Beck and Page. What a glorious sound.
Dick Wagner played the great guitar on Tim Curry and Bob Ezrin's original "Sloe Gin." Wagner was best known for his duets with Steve Hunter on Lou Reed's Rock and Roll Animal and Lou Reed Live albums. Then Alice Cooper "stole" Lou's band for his own solo debut, Welcome To My Nightmare. Wagner is an all-time great -- he played with his MIchigan band The Frost, Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, and Tim Curry among others. Check out Bonamassa's cover of "No Love On The Street" that was written by Wagner and Curry. Similar vibe to "Sloe Gin."
He runs a pretty elaborate rig. Multiple amps including ridiculously expensive Dumbles. As well as, Marshalls and Fenders. A rack of old Les Pauls worth a king's ransom. He is not afraid to take the good stuff on the road! He places baffling in front of most of the amps because he does indeed run them hot! And yes, his tone is eargasmic.
royal albert audience perfectly SILENT!!! PERFECT!!!!
Yes! I went to see Joe play in Portland Oregon, and the audience was whistling and hooting, and totally destroying the music.
The guitar reaches my soul. I could listen to Joe’s blues all day. Yummmmm.
I feel alone even when I am around a group of people, so when I am by myself it is not that different. Being a loner is a blessing in a way.
This does get better and better the more you listen to it.
I feel this song to the core of my heart and soul.....
every time i listen to this song, my stomach clenches. that voice. the guitar... his presence.. he's a genius
Hard to find the right words, absolutely moving!
Zu geil für diese Welt ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Bonamassa on total fire, this is a Masterpiece performance ☝🏻🔥🎸🕶✌🏻
My favorite performance of anything. I have listened to this song/version probably a thousand times.
Me too, listened so many, many times! This is my favorite rendition! ...absolutely love it!
If I was washed up on a desert island I could survive with just this, Happier Times from the same night and water
However i believe the " Red rocks " version is something better More expressing
Me too!

Joe mi piace perché la sua musica a volte ha un ritmo lento, misurato e tranquillo. Poi si agita e si infiamma e si scatenano i fuochi d’artificio ❤❤❤
Perfectly ohrased guitar solo full power soul emotion spirit attack beautifully performed by joe🎉
Definitely the best version that solo takes off
This is unreal!!!!
This is the one song that got me into Joe's playing and music! So much feeling and melody gotta love it and atmosphere which is what I'm all about!
