I regularly go around Sale water park and Chorlton Marina and the little stretch of the Mersey as well as Chorlton Ees. I usually stop at Jacksons boat to watch the Parakeets and have a quick drink. I`ll try adding this to my regular ride in the next day or so. Thanks a lot.
A very informative video on such a beautiful day. Was wondering at the beginning why you would even try it on your bike, with such rough terrain. But it's a good way of showing it can be done and enjoyed on different types of bicycle. Well done.
Strictly speaking, you should not cycle beyond the tarmac section towards Lymm. Where the tarmac ends there is a no cycling sign, go right at the sign, through the woods or along the path that crosses the field, turn left on the old railway track (TPT) to Lymm.
Yep - I discovered the link to the car park and start of the cycle path on my next trip. It does involve some road though, so if you had young kids with you you might be safer on the canal - although it is slow going.
Andy, great coverage, but have to ask : did you have the camera swinging on a piece of rope. I'm sat in my lounge feeling sick watching the view going from left to right and back again, and again. Lymm in motion is not great videography.
