Update: 1/14/24 - DFO was recently found to also proc off ignite applications, and this boost to its uptime in the sim has resulted in a significant boost to its dps by ~150-200 dps at 30% ICC buff. This means DFO is significantly better than the RS trinket (CTS) for fire and Phylactery+DFO is unequivocally BiS for fire, with DFO+CTS still BiS for Arcane. Trinket order is still Phyl > DFO > CTS > Spyglass for fire, with Phyl still ~225+ dps better than DFO. AS ALLIANCE - If you are planning on never getting DFO or CTS, and thus your end game trinkets being Phlyactery+Muradin's Spyglass, then Gloves Offpiece (Gunship Captain's Mitts) are the best offpiece route by ~40 dps MORE than what's in video. AS HORDE: If you are planning on never getting DFO or CTS, and thus your end game trinkets being Phlyactery+Muradin's Spyglass, then Gloves Offpiece (Gunship Captain's Mitts) is a viable offpiece and only ~20 dps LESS than full bis. Also for gloves offpiece route, you can also go non-hit neck+hit bracers+hit ring (loop of the endless labyrinth), and it sims same DPS.

I consider myself new to WoW I played warmane years ago and did complete ICC. But it was that long ago I completely forgot everything about mechanics, what to do even in level 80 dungeons etc. i don’t know why but it’s all left my memory. I got Wotlk classic about 3 weeks ago now. Playing mage for the first time, with no memory of playing wow so it all feels fresh. Currently sitting at 5.1k GS didnt even do a single TOC HC even on 10 man in P3 and still haven’t in the first week of P4 as I was so late to playing. This video is so useful to learn things like min maxing with hit and haste etc and is making me so mad cos I didn’t have a clue about it really and all I cared about was tryna get my GS number closed so I would actually get accepted into the higher raids. I currently have 4 set piece of TOC NM with 245 Netherwind Crown as OP. I didn’t know there was better things to have as OP until this video so please bare with me. I’m trying to learn as much as possible. Just got flare trinket from Gamma farming. And everything else is mostly 225 still. I get I gotta focus getting the frost emblem set piece. But now I’m struggling to think the right plan of action for what to do in terms of actually getting my gear closer to being at that min max point while still requiring super high jumps on gear than what I currently have. How do you guys calculate and plan what gear to focus on prioritising and should I even worry about it now with the low gear I have in comparison to the stuff you mages already have since you’re all P3 BIS already. Would be great to hear from anyone in the comments for someone who is a lot further behind than who this video seems to be aimed for.
For Fire TTW, do you go down to 3/5 Arcane Concentration for Magic Absorption? Also do you recommend dropping 1/2 Firestarter for 3/3 Master of Elements?
my simmulator From Osthyve looks differente from urs, when i select like a ring for comparison with my actual ring it dont works, nor those buttons under the dps are showed is it some config you need to do? also i didnt find the offhand from halls of reflection that i use in the simm

Do you weave saronite bomb on cooldown for casts? Or is that only useful on aoe scenarios? I saw your compendium (loved) and it did mention it was useful but was not present in the rotation?
Not only do I like this video, I like all your others as well. I know the 'sims' all have the ranges for Arcane and honestly most mages have no clue how to gear and play arcane to make it viable and not only stand toe to toe with fire but surpass it in a LOT of situations even when having to move (which is BY FAR the most damaging to Arcane dps). Fire can obviously cast a few things on the move especially when procs occur so that helps their dps, but when Arcane can stand still, if done properly, can not only make up the movement loss but burst past all those 'dotter' dps. ;) Fire is amazing and I use it personally as a secondary and the numbers don't lie, but Arcane is one of those taboo specs that most Fire mages (repeating myself, sorry) have no clue how to really play it to make Fire wonder why they are 2nd or less on the meter. ;) Again, thanks for the very informative video! Keep them coming please! EDIT: It's about time someone puts out a video & info regarding Arcane. :D
What is this sim website you are using in this video, I suspect its still using wowsims engine, but I don't know how you are comparing items in that interface.

They're a bit worse than the other setups (30-40 dps), and those pants are the desired offpiece by almost all the other caster classes, so extremely contested compared to chest/gloves. Not something you want to go for as your offpiece.
I just can't wrap my head around losin t9 crit bonuses compared to t10 bonuses :d guess you get enough int and spirit from new items to replace the loss?
Has more to do with the set bonus for T10 being better. Like I mention in the video, going from 258 ilvl T9 to 251 ilvl T10 is still a significant DPS increase.

it's very minor for ST, but you can as long as you do it right with no added gaps, but since it's so minor I primarily just use them on aoe

Thanks. On the fights with "cleave" is the cleave with the flame breath / flame wave or just living bomb and pure single target spec?
There are a couple fights where you aoe adds but no need for DB/BW/Firestarter. Most fights are just LB cleave.
