Sometimes Telecaster is the perfect guitar. What a great demo to prove that. If you don’t want a Telecaster after watching this, you’re either dead or just don’t like Telecasters. GREAT demo.
Hi Jonathan, great review of a stunning guitar. Love the sonic blue colour & the neck. It is a work of art. The sound was ‘spot-on’ Tele. Great playing as usual Jonathan. Cheers ✌️🎸💜
I don't think I can see myself paying that kind of money for a tele but it sure is a fine guitar. If I had to dream up a tele from scratch this is in fact the closest I have seen to what I would come up with. I know you can make everything sound good but this guitar has that something extra to my ears especially through the neck pickup. The clarity is phenomenal and it just sings. As per usual I also enjoyed your sweet playing and good company Jonathan.
Love Teles, I own several but not a traditional like this, every one of my guitars have a twist. There are a few Xotic guitars in the shop I go, one of them blinks at me every time I enter the shop but gosh, it’s pricey. I haven’t tried it yet but now with this video I have a good idea how good it is. You played very well, it’s easy to find out that you did enjoyed that guitar! If I’m nitpicky, I wish it could have the truss rod adjustment at the top of the neck. ✌️😃👍🎸
These pickups are among the best Tele-style pickups out there and they're competitively priced, so if you're resisting the price tag for the guitar you might consider upgrading the pickups on your existing Tele.
the saddles are brass. xotic treats some of them to change the color. no idea what the process is but they show the same dull silver on their site and state they are brass. unless your order sheet says theyre not brass, they almost certainly are.
blues@ 80 percent skill 20 percent guitar. nice colour you have there, wonder it plays distortions well too> i can only dream of it because of the price
Jon, if you reviewed a tree branch, I would want to buy one. Love your playing. Do you have music available for purchase? Are you in a band, or a session player? Thanks for your channel
I really do not like the Telecaster style guitar. You can get the same warm single coil neck tones or quacks piercing sounds from other styles of guitars. It is just what one prefers. I like the LP style best, but I do not like the necks or the thicker bodies. Yet I love the thinner necks as my fingers are not like Dracula fingers! 🙃 so what is the choice left? 🤔 I bought a S style 1991 built in Japan for $200 HSS changed the pickups out for Seymour Duncan's Antiquity single coils, and for that agressive Humbucker heavy metal sound, a Seymour Duncan SH8 Invader. The tones were excellent 👌 Then someone broke in and stole my Ibanez! I had over $600 😪 into that guitar. Big loss! If I remember that Ibanez was called a 540 Saber in 1991 when they were beginning to produce the thin bodies. I will look it up.
Why the heck would anyone ever and i mean ever want the truss rod adjustment at the heel? It makes absolutely no sense to me. I want to be able to set up my guitar without having to disassemble it every time. Crazy.
This guitar follows the old traditional strats of old where the truss rod adjustments are made at the heel. Some people like the way this is. If it’s not for you.. don’t get it✌️
