I love the fact that this is like
a kids' game but they made the male character like a 30 year old hunk with like an office job. I find that to be very relatable
I'm pretty sure that the target demographic for the game are 30 something millenials fan of disney.
its obvious your character is an adult going back and revisiting childhood memories... so yeah that is kinda the point... you quit your job to go back home and dream about your youth i guess...
Honestly this game is giving mysims vibes, with the whole this used to be a bustling village thing
It feels kinda like a horror game...
I have seen so many videos for this game but this is the first one that has shown what the gameplay is genuinely like for an adult player. Please continue to become Mickey's rebound.

You might want to check out Spiritfarer. It´s a pretty chill game where you collect anthro spirits on your ship and help them with their unfinished buisness. Sure, it doesn´t have the Disney factor but honestly the characters kinda creep me out in this game. Really makes you appreciate Animal Crossing more

Omg. My husband worked for Disney Interactive/Playdom making games and it was the first job where he was the MOST experienced: people he worked with had such little experience the code is just hacked together on everything they tried to put out.
It was the BEST severance package we could have asked for though 😂

Didn't they end up mostly killing Disney Interactive anyway? But yeah, the fact that Disney's in-house games have had some mixed development and care afterwards doesn't say much for how well they can pick a game studio to develop their game.
This isn't supposed to be a mobile game, but it's being developed by a company who, from my knowledge, has primarily developed mobile games.
He helped with alot of games that I played as a kid! I guess I don't know😅. But like thank you for your husband for helping be apart of my childhood.

No they make their games cheap as possible with the bare minimum amount of effort to make as much money as possible
Disney, the company, isn't making this game. The game is being made by Gameloft *for* Disney with their branding on it.

It's in early access (for some reason?) - afaik this isn't the final build of the game

The camera is out of control - I had to go to settings and lower it to the lowest sensitivity, which helped. Theres also a streamer mode if you want to avoid playing disney songs on stream. Although apparently that was still a little broken they may have fixed it by now.
i feel like if they need to put in a whole entire streamer mode then maybe they should just... not copyright strike people playing the game on stream

I'm over 30, not even a big Disney fan, but have already put like 45 hours of game play into this! It's been fun to me! I've been a Sims player my whole life, so I guess I'm used to paying a lot for broken games. xD The bugginess doesn't bother me, since they're at least making efforts to fix theirs, and never claimed it was done.
I'm 60 and have put in the same amount of time. I've also been enjoying it despite the growing pains. The devs seem responsive so, hopefully, things will improve steadily.
I’m over 30 too and I cannot stop playing it! It’s just so nice. Like what’s wrong with a fun nice simple game? Except there’s more than meets the eye I love the way they used mechanics from different games and refined them and made them more accessible for all! At some point I want to write a review on why this game is so good for they type of game it is.
I'm nearly 40 and LOVE this game. It's so relaxing and adorable, and unlike Animal Crossing I feel like there's a plot and a reason for doing things. And yes, it's early access so one shouldn't expect it to be polished and perfect (though for early access it feels finished...it's better than any EA game that's released as finished!)
Definitely would be down to watch a series. The issue I’ve had with Disney games in the past is how overcomplicated they are plotwise. But if this does eventually settle into a nice peaceful farming game I’d be into it for sure. It looks really pretty.

I absolutely love this game. It’s way more than a farming game. There are tasks and scavenger hunts that keep it fun and exciting. It’s cozy and low key but there is always something to do. As someone who does not like combat or complicated games this was a perfect match! Plus, who doesn’t like interacting with Disney characters??

art style is weird to me...hard to believe this town is rotting away with mickeys house looks just fine on the inside...like at least dull the colors until your character cleans up the vines

It's not as bad as people think. If you don't want to pay for it, don't. It will be free in a year and the only thing that will be monetized will be cosmetics. The game has a lot of content, making the price worth it. Just say this game isn't for you and move on
@@maebunny5298 I'm all for defending indie game developers against excessive criticism because they have limited resources. This game is being pushed by Disney (not developed by, but funded/marketed), we don't need to be out here defending the famously money grubbing Disney.
@@binkin7304 dude I don't care about disney as a company. Sure the entire gaming industry is corrupted but it really is a good game. It's in early access so of course it appears cheap and buggy, that's to be expected. I really have high hopes for this game. Disney is just the brand associated with the game. Gameloft is doing a good job communicating issues to their audiencs and they actually listen to complaints. That's rare for these big companies
I'm not a Disney fan so I'm debating whether or not to even try it since the lore means nothing to me

Disney’s insane these days, I stg they liquidised their advertising department or smthn. Don’t feel bad for saying bad things about Disney and their bad game that was only made for money it seems, they’re a monopoly of a company lmao I don’t think they care that anything’s bad nowadays, as long as it makes money.
Basically Disney stardew valley but so far I love this game and I’ve been binge playing it. I don’t even care that much for Disney films. But I like the game!

this game works so much better on pc, short loading times etc. i’ve been playing since it came out and i’m obsessed gives me stardew vibes, but def has more story.
So this is what Disney has been doing instead of making good movies.

The fact that you got it on switch has a huge factor on the loading time 😭 PC goes much much faster, and it’s included on Xbox gamepass if you have that

As someone who has unlocked all the characters and is level 26 I'm begging you to continue this I was laughing so hard and I really wanna see how you react when it gets more depressing lol like its not super dark but its got some really surprisingly deep lore

I did not expect to feel so offended that you didn't know who Merlin was 🤣 (Sword in the Stone is hands down my fave Disney movie and it's all because of Merlin and Archimedes). Anyways it seems like itd be good crack if you give it time have a go! But thanks for showing that there's wanky loading times and stuff

What annoys me is you always get Merlin showing up in games, but never Mad Madam Mim. Who is clearly a much more fun character.

I kept seeing ads for this because I'm a Sims 4 player. They were like, "it's like a Sims game, but with Disney!" My friend that plays Animal crossing had ads saying "It's Disney Animal crossing!"
It's definitely an animal crossing game, but I don't think I'll end up playing this. She on the other hand has been playing non stop.

Feels like they're trying to recreate the success of Kingdom Hearts but to appeal to a different genre audience- the intro cinematics and the way the cutscenes look, it's so familiar but feels so wrong-

It's not as bad as animal crossing. The only thing it affects is the time of day, what appears in store that sells furniture and clothes, crop growth (but only a max of a few hours), and character will sleep but not for the entire night. The gameplay doesn't suffer much at all

As soon as I saw 'Disney' in the title when I saw this in my TH-cam homepage recommendations, I clicked. I knew the game wouldn't have been made by Disney themselves as they axed their videogame division some years ago, and it turns out it was made by Gameloft after licencing a lot of Disney properties, from what I can tell.
As much as I dislike everything Disney, this game idea seems kinda fun :(
