I have the same size boat with a 24v Terrova. I can troll all day long on a charge in calm waters. When it’s rough, I use the kicker for propulsion and the Terrova to move the bow.
Nice boat! I just bought one. 2023. Can’t wait to get it on the water this spring. I will add a kicker. Then figure out the best system for down riggers. I won’t use them all the time. But I will use them.
Love the boat. I bought one in 2016. First boat for me and haven't been disappointed the least bit. Wish the older models would have came with the drawer system under the dash on both sides.
Great video! Wish I had seen it before I ordered a 1775 Adventure Sport two weeks ago. There wasn't a huge difference in price between the Adventure and the 1775 Impact but I really like the way the Impact is layed out. Lund kind of "cheaped out" on the Adventure's storage.
Awesome video!! Very informative. I'm actually picking up this exact boat in about 2 weeks.(as soon as they get it rigged) I can't wait to get her out on the water and put some hogs in the boat! Same setup networked hummingbirds but I'll have a terrova. Happy fishin!!!
I ordered the same boat a few weeks ago. I love the versilully of the XS. My current boat is a 15 foot bass boat and the Lund is definitely a huge upgrade.
Nice rig, and great walkthrough Nick! Have you tried trolling with your main motor, and if so how slow can you get? Seeing if I can avoid getting a kicker on the next boat; thanks.
I actually don't have a strong opinion tbh. I like both. The roller isn't viable with a bigger glass boat, but there are nice aspects with these aluminum Lund boats.
Hi Nick. Great video. Can you elaborate on the two SI transducer setup and how you are using them? Are you using one for the "left" side and the other one for the "right" side on the Helix 10?
Man this is a very nice setup and your detail to attention is awesome!! I have been saving up for one of these and was going to go with just a side console but now considering a dual or the walk thru like you have. The only thing that I question is why is the helix 10 at the helm and the 8 is at the bow? Correct me if I am wrong but should it be the other way around so that the bigger graph makes it easier to see while standing? Just my 2 cents. I subscribed and thanks for sharing! :)
Ideally both are 10+ inches, but I needed to save some money. I want a bigger unit at the console because I spend way more time back there. Also, I'm not always right in front of it. Especially when I'm trolling or live bait rigging
Great set up. I have the same boat. Did I notice a double cup.holder below the live well in the rear. Is that a add on? Thanks for showing us. I love my boat and it sounds like you are satisfied as well.
Nick, Love the boat. I'm going to be networking two Helix 9's ( MSI and one for mapping.) on my new tiller model. These graphs will be linked to my ulterra for Ipilot link. Any suggestions or recommendations I should mention to the dealer when they are rigging it up? Would love any feedback.
Nice looking boat. I’m about ready to pull the trigger on one myself. I will be doing a lot of blue cat fishing and need to mount a rear rod rack or more likely a T bar on either side of the motor…assuming it’s strong enough there? If you are famil it with t bars (with rod holders), do you think one could be mounted in the rear corners on each side? The ladder cover on the starboard side means it can’t be mounted there, but I was wondering if one could be mounted next to it? Can you get under neath there to put a backing plate in? Thanks for any info you can share and congrats on an excellent boat!
Awesome boat and video! It helped me make a decision to buy one myself. You mentioned that the under consul storage drawers hold 3600 size Planos. Is that what size boxes are shown in the video? I like how you have them organized in the drawers. I didn’t think the drawers were deep enough for 3600’s. Thanks in advance for the response and keep up the great videos!
Enjoyed your style of presentation Nick. Good tips on cost savings you put out there. Nice boat. Well, of course it is... it's a LUND! :) Does your 2nd SI Transducer hook up directly to your NMEA unit? Or does it connect with the other SI Transducer and then on to the NMEA? Thanks! I get that bit of interference when the motor is not trimmed up enough also.
Nick, this video really sits with me. I grew up in only bass boats as well, I love fishing for just about everything. I do have a question for ya, how's the draft on this boat? Thanks
Thanks, Nick. Well done and informative walk through video. I’m rigging up a Crestliner 1950 Sportfish with Humminbird units and it was helpful to hear about your experience with them. I didn’t know that the prop can get in the way of side imaging. Is it impossible to do it with the motor down? Does any amount of trim solve this?
Nice break down of your boat man! Loved the video. I am a fan of the impacts. Question for ya, between your 18' and your friends 20', does the 18' handle bigger lakes fairly well? Thanks for your time and tight lines!
Nice boat man. What views are you running on the helix 10 and helix 8 at the same time usually? I have just one helix and debating if I should get a second and what views to run on both to make it the most effective.
It's nice to have Side Imaging on its own screen so you have more real-estate to see small marks. Then the other screen could have maps and 2D/DI sonar.
It's been a few years... are you still running this boat? Any regrets? How's it handle Mille Lacs? I'll be buying a new boat sometime in the next 12 months and the Impact is in the running. But think I'm still a tiller guy at heart, so am unsure. I'm retired and having a family boat and having kids on board is not as important for me.
Hey! Yeah, I'm actually still running this boat. Considering getting a new one, as I've had it for a few years now. I'm very happy with it. Handles great and no regrets. I just don't see any real benefit to running a tiller anymore, as I'm just fishing out of the front of the boat anyway. I'll take the added benefit of staying dry behind the windshield vs. having more open space in a tiller.
Have you stored it in a garage and was there any height restrictions, getting it into the garage? If so, did you have to work with it to get it through the garage door like, maybe a drop-down hitch to lower it an inch or two? Lund states, 7 feet tall on trailer; didn't know how accurate that dimensions was, if they just rounded it off?
This wouldn’t fit in a standard low garage, likely because it’s on the roller trailer. Might be better with bunks possibly? My buddy has a 20 foot impact with the windshield and it’s on bunks and he can fit in his garage in town.
Hopefully I'm not too late for you! I have a Traxtech. Cisco would have been preferable (had to go with what was available), but I'm very happy with the Traxtech.
I've parked it in my back yard when I was living in town. Definitely had anxiety as Brainerd has it's fair share of crime in town. Luckily I'm out in the country now.
My LOCAL dealer says if I installed a 2nd mega side transducer I would lose my HIGH speed transducer for some reason. I have 1-helix 9 G3n mega and 1-helix 8 G3N mega on the dash with a ethernet port box. I want to get another Mega side transducer mounted on PORT side of my kicker motor..
I'm actually happy with it. It's a simple setup and it works great. Anything different would be fancy stuff like bigger graphs or stuff like that. I guess I don't really need the bait well in the front.
Hey Nick, I have the same rig, purchased in 2018. Question for you- what do you do for a boat cover with that trolling motor on front. Is it permanently mounted? I have my ultrex up front on a slide plate so I can remove it when I want to put my cover on. It works but it’s a pain to do. Really it’s my only dislike about the boat
I have the stock cover. Not sure ideal with the trolling motor. My dad got a custom cover (took the old one and changed the front portion to fit around electronics) and he's liking it.
Hey Nick nice rig! Just wondering how do you network all the units together I have a helix 9 di on my bow and a helix 9 si at the helm and a terrova I pilot link do they network by Bluetooth or do I need something to tie them together? My bow helix is already linked to my terrova but I don't think the helm unit is.
Not yet! For an 18.75 foot boat, it runs well in big water though. Wouldn't want to be out in the big lake during a massive storm though. There's a reason they run those massive launch boats up there.
I am looking at this style boat also. Wondering how much this boat gets blown around in the wind while on the trolling motor? I bass fish alot, and my old 16' deep v was a hand full in the wind. In yout opinion is the higher cost of the pro v worth it over the impact? I know you have spent lots of time in Lunds
I don't have much trouble in the wind, though it's not as good as a bass boat in that regard of course. My favorite boat in Lund's lineup is the Impact, especially for the price. If money wasn't a factor, I think I'd have considered the Pro-V, but there are different advantages to each model, so in some ways it's a personal preference deal.
Excellent video and overview. One of the better videos I've seen. Quick question: Did you consider the 1875 crossover? The wider gunnels and deeper cockpit are pros but the loss of additional rod storage is the biggest con I'm wrestling with.
Haha thanks, Adam. I think a 12 foot Jon boat is in my future, too. I'm itching to get out on a few of my favorite rivers, but water levels are crazy low!
@@NickLindner i generally fish small ponds for native trout or stocked trout. So a jon boat and 4hp can't be beat. But Lake Nipissing is in my backyard and it would be awesome to have a boat like yours out on it!!

Thanks! Side Imagining is a game changer for sure.
I have the same size boat with a 24v Terrova. I can troll all day long on a charge in calm waters. When it’s rough, I use the kicker for propulsion and the Terrova to move the bow.
Yup. It's definitely viable to have a 24v system
Nice boat! I just bought one. 2023. Can’t wait to get it on the water this spring. I will add a kicker. Then figure out the best system for down riggers. I won’t use them all the time. But I will use them.

@@NickLindner Thanks. So looking forward to getting on the water!
Just ordered an identical boat today! Can’t wait!
Love the boat. I bought one in 2016. First boat for me and haven't been disappointed the least bit. Wish the older models would have came with the drawer system under the dash on both sides.
No doubt, that's one of my favorite extra features on it.
Just go to your Lund dealer and order them, I installed them on my 2014 model, easy to install at home.

Yes. 3600 boxes. The 2075 impact can fit 3700s in the under console

Honestly, I would have to go back and look at the spreadsheet. I don't want to throw out an inaccurate number. North of $50k though.
Does the travel cover work okay with the ultrex on there?
It's not perfect, but it gets the job done for the most part.
I should’ve asked before but if you had it to do over again, would you go with the 36v ultrex or do you think the 24v is plenty?
Can you tell me what shaft length you have on your ultrex?
60 inch. Needs to be long
Do u think a 52shaft ultrex will work on 1775 impact
I don't think it would be amazing
60" shaft on bow mount long enough?
Yessir
