Fox and Miles. Thank you so much for talking to me!! If anyone wants to ask me questions my email is Lmbeale@yahoo.com I hope to meet many of you on the road - it’s an incredible life!!
mirna diaz she’s actually missing her eye. It ruptured while I was in Green Bay and she had to get emergency surgery to remove it. Very scary but she survived and is thriving.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Thank YOU for sharing, meeting up with us, hanging and talking!!! You're amazing 💛💛💛 We appreciate you so much. You helped us out with SO much. We definitely look forward to traveling with you again when things clear up. 😊💛
Lisa Untethered Great conversation! Hopefully, I can meet you guys one day soon. I won’t be on the road until 2022. Your puppy is adorable 🥰 Glad she’s ok☺️
32:45 Yes! Everyone is pushing "get to the bag culture" and "start your own business", this is not everyone's desire. Some people are content with a simple life having only what is necessary for their particular lifestyle.
I really enjoyed thisinterview. I am a woman of a particular age...I have started to downsize my big house and stop buying things. I plan to purchase an RV and begin my solo travels in June 2021. You all are very inspirational. Keep the interviews coming. Thank you.
Awwwww! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! We definitely will continue. There are so many wonderful people out there with amazing stories and inspiring ways of life. We can't wait to share that with you! 😊💛
This interview resonated with me 1000%. I am the crazy friend who went solo to the to BVI and camped on the beach to free up money for daily scuba diving. My most recent adventure was having my son. He is 4 and has already gotten his 1st passport stamp, he is a hiker and camper. I want him to find his inner adventurer as soon as possible. Last weekend I took my mom on her 1st camping trip ever. She is 69 and she loved it. There are a lot of reasons with how we are socialized as black people that results in so few of us leading adventurous lives. I refuse to be limited. Now I am shopping for my 1st camper. Everyone thinks I am crazy as usual. But I am SO EXCITED. I can get into the wild with my son and mom with more safety and comfort than my tent currently provides. Lisa, Fox, Miles, you'll are living your best life and I hope to see you sometime on the road.
Downsizing was a killer! We went from a 4 bedroom house down to a 26footer. Many tears for sure! In the end I am glad because I can't name a single thing I miss now.
Great interview! The most salient point for was "embrace the silence." Silence was uncomfortable for me when I first started rving. Silence also caused me to feel lonely. Now I've gained a greater appreciation for its benefits.
I plant trees instead of giving gifts. I never wanted to have kids. I wanted animals. Dogs. horses, birds cats. I've spent the last 40 years dong what I love. Grooming and showing dogs and was a state approved grooming school here in Texas. Free to be me, lol.
Such an inspiring and helpful interview. So many RV TH-camrs talk about gear, but this is about life and priorities. "Whenever I see roses I smell them." Lisa has a lot to teach us. Thank you!!
Hey y’all!🙋🏽♀️ I feel so connected to you guys. I’m from Baltimore. I’m currently working on my exit strategy. Paying off debt & helping to send my son to college debt free. He graduates from college 2022 & that’s when I’m getting my rig & hitting the road. Hope to meet you all one day❤️☺️🙌🏽🙌🏽 I feel the same with regards to fitting in. I’ve never fit in. My family thinks I’m strange for wanting to live the nomadic lifestyle.
I think more & more ppl are waking up to the freedom of a simpler life. I loved, loved, loved this interview. Thanks so much for the conversation. Hope to meet you all on the road one day.
This was absolutely wonderful. As a single woman desiring to go RVing and share time traveling with my mom and fur babies. This just made my desire even stronger.
Same heeeere! It was SUCH a struggle. Trying to decide what I SERIOUSLY needed or wanted vs, what I was just afraid to let go of. But afterwards, it felt AMAZING. 💛💛💛
Lisa is right... I know her from DC, we were in the same grad chapter. I grew up RVing and the RV community is so kind and helpful. My family and I are weekend RVers and I was sooo excited for her when I heard she was going to full time. So many experiences and so much peace when away from the hustle and bustle. Do your thing Lisa.... hope to see you again one day!
Hello from Texas! Count me in as #2 Solo RVer. Full time began 0220. Downsizing was no issue until I got to my heels 👠s. I was so emotional about it, I ended up keeping one pair.🙏 I’ve always used silence to recharge, so I guess I’m a “loner”?I’m loving the freedom of this lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your stories.
Thank you so much for watching! It means a lot. And yes! Lisa is EVERYTHING!!! She helped us out with SO much and we wanted to share her story and wisdom and her awesomeness with you all. ❤️❤️❤️
Awwwww! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay 💛💛💛 That's so exciting! We're happy that it spoke to and encouraged you! That makes us so happy to be able to share other people's joys and experiences with you.
"Its in the slightest of things; the quiet; in the the silence where you can be spoken to, and hear...if one is listening." Very interesting interview and profound perspectives. You guys have outdone yourselves with this introspective look into the inner workings and nuances of Change", and a path to self liberation. I had someone question my motives today about RVing and, I have to say, the person had no idea that their questioning absolutely let me know I was living my life, through RVing, the way I wanted. My resolved had tightened even further. I find that those who question are either those who have known you the least amount of time or, are those who've know you some length of time, but would much rather you live your life through THEIR lense, which is even MORE disrespectful.... Lisa is most certainly a thoughtful treasure in her own right, AND a treasure trove of informative thought... Great Job!
Loved this video. This is the type of person I would like to speak with and get an idea of how I go about becoming a nomad. I am a black female, early 60s, and would love to be a solo nomad.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! We definitely wanted to share the awesomeness that is Lisa. She is SO inspiring and sincere and honest. We love her. And you can do it!!!! I'll see if I can get her contact information 😊💛
I'm here, I'm here💃🏾. I'm a 32 yo solo black nomad woman RVer. 👋 Lisa! My favorite color is purple also. I lived in my car for years. But I recently upgraded to a 19 foot travel trailer RV. I call South Florida home for now because that's where I have a storage with stuff in it😁. But I travel all over the US. I would love to meet or camp. I am so glad and blessed to have stumbled across this channel. I'm definitely subscribing and will stay tuned for new videos.
I live in my car and travel as well. I will be upgrading to a van in a few months. I'm 38 years old, black female. I am mostly on the West Coast. Glad to see other black females living free.
@@abudgetmatters-aminaj2442 Have fun, travel, be safe. Research the area you're located in to make sure your in an area safe for people of color. I am not trying to scare you, but all areas are not welcoming. I've been traveling for years across America and have had a blast!
I really enjoyed this interview with Lisa. I've been thinking about doing the "RV thing" on a full-time basis, and this interview has convinced me that I should start planning, getting rid of the extra stuff that I won't need in an RV, and just do it. Thank you Lisa for your insight.
Lisa spoke about not being interested in other people's stories but the fact she did this interview shows she knows there may be people interested in her story. I think an important part of her story is her dog. She didn't let go of the pup the whole interview and I felt the dog plays a strong role in her life and perhaps should have been addressed. Great interview! Thanks.
I love how Lisa said that the climate of the country is what the media says it is. I agree 100%. Not saying that there aren't issues, however the media sensationalizes often.
We are SOOOO excited for you!! I've always wanted to build a van. Maybe that can be a summer/fall project. Congratulations to YOU! It's our pleasure to be able to encourage and inspire anyone to try things and live their lives.
Everything you have said is ME. How I feel about wanting to be free, explore and experience the beauty of where ever "I" land. This interview has helped me so much in making my decision to ....get the RV/motorhome...and do My lifestyle.
Great interview!! I'm so happy you linked up with the wonderful Ms. Lisa - I remember when she started her journey, I was so inspired to do the same. I often wondered what became of her - Happy she is still out there living an "untethered" lifestyle. I really hope you guys take her advice & continue with RV life.
Really enjoyed the interview! It answered some questions and concerns that I have. I'm planning to purchase an RV next year when I retire. Going solo. Lisa, thanks for providing your email address. I will contact you with questions and hope to meet on the road when I begin my journey. Love and light
Fox and Miles, You two are doing a great job on bringing awareness to this alternative to the norm. I have read comments that others has posted regarding the impact you all are making. Keep striving in a positive matter.
I just came across your channel, it is refreshing to see another female that is African American out here. You are so right about being quiet. While I have all the luxuries of reaching the outside world, I enjoy my peace. I lived a high stressful lifestyle for over 30 years and I enjoy and appreciate my speed now rving. I have a 40Ft Diesal pusher and a truck I tow, it’s not to big as it’s my condo on wheels and the way I choose to see this beautiful country! One has to find a rig that works for them, and the lifestyle the want to live on the road. Note* a forum to find other rv’ER’s is at the NAARVA rallies. This year they had a seminar for women in rving and provided helpful tips.
Enjoyed the interview. I want to thank Lisa for so generously providing means of contact & making herself available as a resource. I'm literally sending this on the day I'd planned to leave, but it got cancelled by the party I was supposed to meet. I did a somewhat "bootlegged" no build van conversion because ALL that matters is starting this new life. Looking for employment & will pursue some of your suggestions. But I was also reticent due to the current social climate & unrest & don't know where it's safe to stay... but I'm trusting God & still going forward w/n the next few days.
We TOTALLY hear and understand you. We're sending yy so much love and joy. Everyone finds their groove and what works for them eventually. Nothing wrong with taking your time and following your gut, you know? If you feel unsafe especially during this time, I would definitely advise you to take it slow. Follow your intuition, but try not to live in total fear. 💛💛💛❤️❤️❤️
OH, WOW .. I really need to connect with this lady .. we are frightfully so much alike (except I'm married), even her RV and toad is similar .. mine, a 2016 Thor Axis 24.1 towing a 2011 Ford Fiesta .. LOL .. I'm retired (not hubby) and usually camp alone or with my friend .. she's an interesting person .. enjoyed the interview .. great questions.
Great interview. As a 60 yo woman I am in the same place she was at 50. I am solo on a boat 3-4 mos out of the year and I love my alone time. As a fiber artist I dedicate this “snowbird” time to myself and my craft. So the goal over the next two years is to empty my storage unit of what was left from my home. To give away most and to sell some to start the fund for my Sprinter. But this class A is fabulous. What an amazing woman. Once I am on the road I would love to attend a gathering of solo black woman nomads. I am curious as to how she disconnected from her life outside of her business. I have a handicapped child forever. But I also have grand babies and two other daughters. More than that I am a Social Justice Advocate and an Advocate for the Disabled and Mentally Ill. I can’t disconnect from that. Most of the campaigns are on social media. I sell my work via social media. I’m a big girl who is being told to go on a diet and learn how to eat to live not to live to eat. 🤩
This sounds AMAZING!!! Shout out to YOU! Living on a boat is something I've always wanted to try. And I totally understand that and the questions you have. I struggle with the same thing. A lot of the things I want to do is community based. So we're trying to build a life that supports those focuses as well. Ms. Lisa has been so gracious and shared her email with everyone for any questions lmbeale@yahoo.com is her email ND I'm sure she would LOVE to hear from you and offer Suggestions. She's AMAAAAAZING. 😊💛 Much love and joy to you. 💛💛💛
I just bought my first RV - 1987 Ford Mallard, I’m a black women artist who is at the beginning on my solo nomad journey. This is very helpful! Thank you for this podcast/youtube✨ With the the DMV being slowed down, been struggling to apply for my plates but I know once I do finally receive it. I’ll hit the road!
Nice! That's super exciting! We're so glad that you got something out of the interview. And you're right, this pandemic has slowed everything way down. Early peace and blessings for your journey before you hit the road! Thanks for watching and supporting! =)
Fox & Miles thanks for the interview with Lisa. I am a military retired single woman from the DMV, and currently planning to hit the road South before Winter. I would love to connect with Lisa and well your community. I'm getting very anxious about the journey and would love to have a knowledgeable Black community to be a part of.
Awesome! And early congrats on your travels. Definitely join the Facebook group "Black RVers" if you haven't already. Ms. Lisa can be found on Facebook and within the "Black RVers" group as well. Hope this helps! :-)
This is a soooo cool video, I do love reading the Bible and good books and being quiet, knitting and crocheting and following people living on the road, like you guys : )
Loved the interview! All three of you are wonderful people, the way you shared true life experiences and when you said "you must love yourself as you were created", by God, and yes I said it, by God! Just adding more truth to what you all are saying. So happy to see other people of color really living in their freedom, I plan to do the same soon. What do you do for finances while traveling, do you have online jobs or are there ways to earn a living while full-time rving? Any information will help me greatly....and thank you for sharing!😊
Yeeeeeeeeeees!!!! By GOD!!!! WE TOTALLY APPRECIATE YOU ADDING THAT PIECE! It's SO important. And on the road, Miles is a voice actor, so he does freelance work. He also mixes and masters music. I make music, am a photographer and writer. It's been slow recently (of course) but we're still trying to figure it out. We should make a video on how to make money on the road. But some people work camp, where they work at a campsite for hook ups and a salary. Some people work for 6 months, save money and then go travel for the other 6 months. Some people do Amazon during the holidays and save money that way. They also have hook ups there too. There are a lot of options. 💛💛💛
Good question!!! I have 2 teens who are not onboard with a simpler life. With most schools going virtual this life seems more doable. Any suggestions for folks with a family or single with kids. Love the stay in silence....
This interview was awesome 😎 I loved it . You two are awesome God bless you both and maybe I will see you when I decide to get out there .i appreciate you sharing your life with me 😊🤗
First time finding you on you tube. Very good interview and very thoughtful. I appreciate the way you listened to Lisa and followed up with interest. Lisa, your philosophy is spot on, peace and freedom. St Paul and Thoreau both expressed different ways to find peace and happiness in whatever life brings. God bless you all for sharing. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more.
This absolutely spoke to me and my feelings about life and wanting to start our journey in rving!! Totally loved this interview my husband and I are researching and planning this new journey 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Who is this lovely woman!! I think she’s so cool, serious and decided about her life, and really just owning her own. Am loving this awesomely fine woman
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Thank you so much. Lisa is so awesome! And her RV is perfect! And yes! We definitely hope to share more interviews with you soon! 😊💛
Awesome interview!!! I remember Ms Lisa’s tour from crystal vanner’s page. I am Happy to see her thriving and doing well... many blessings to her... Anytime you are in TN let me know!!! Love you all. Many many blessings and much success!!!!
Thank YOU so much for watching! Lisa is filled to the brim with so much knowledge and wisdom. She definitely encourages us in so many ways. Such an inspiration. 💛💛💛 We hope to share more soon 😊😊😊
New sub here! I'm gearing up for my first adventures as a RVer I'm also from Grand Rapids, Michigan I found Lisa so beautiful in sound I can't wait to get there mentally. I'm selling my house here soon and packing my bags;-) Maybe I'll meet you guys down the road. Thanks Lisa 😊
@@lisauntethered8059 Yes its very nice here for the most part. This city has come a long way in the development department. I have a realtor coming Thursday ill keep you posted;-)
Hi Lisa I admire your strength and your wisdom. I aspire to follow your path. I believe we are kindred spirits in that we love me , myself and I. I am so with you when it comes to social media but I must admit YyouTube is my jam. We can be social but we don't need society to defines us. Many people do not love themselves therefore they can't stand to be alone with themselves.
Hey guys 👋🏼 W😄W this was such a great idea.. thanks Lisa for doing this interview i want to full time rv with just me my dog and 2 cats and I'm on a trying to be one with my maker journey..this helped with getting outta my own way...
As everyone has said GREAT Interview, I'm purchasing a Class A for my Birthday 04/2022, I have rented them many times in the past and love the life. I don't think I'll do it full time because I wouldn't want to give up my other two loves, riding my Harley with friends and my 21.5 Cuddy Cabin boat. I do plan to be free about when I will go out because I have no real obligation to stay home. Fox and Miles, I hope to one day meet you guys on the road and of course The Lovely Lisa, who I find Absolutely Amazing. I live in Texas now but I used to live in Upper Marlboro, Md. for 27 yrs. Be Safe out there and look forward to seeing you'll out there on the RV trail.
Great interview, my name sake (Lisa) wow free me even more as IF ( I need it), but still can simi pull back because WHAT!!!!. This is really coded I guess, so let me just say I Loved This Interview!! Been planning on doing this (4 yrs., at least) on a more full-time, part-time bases another words I retire in 69 days and married, but hubby know I am going at least that's the plan when I want, this interview is just more confirmation. Yaas Ms. Lisa had to shed the skin, you are in a different place and space. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoyed the interview! It answered some questions and concerns that I have. I'm planning to purchase an RV next year when I retire. Going solo. Lisa, thanks for providing your email address. I will contact you with questions and hope to meet on the road when I begin my journey. Love and light
GREAT INTERVIEW; I am a newly black full time RVer. This was such an inspiration.
Ooh, great new word: botherations! Thanks for this great, inspiring interview with another seasoned full-timer.
Fox and Miles,
You two are doing a great job on bringing awareness to this alternative to the norm. I have read comments that others has posted regarding the impact you all are making. Keep striving in a positive matter.
Awwwww! So kind! Thank you so MUUUUUUUUCH 💛💛💛😊😊😊
I must take this moment to echo your sentiments regarding Fox and Miles.
Thank you for sharing Lisa's story especially now during turbulent time in america
Absolutely! She's amazing and her story is so inspiring. It was a joy to talk with and share time with her. 💛💛💛
Yeeees! Ms. Lisa is SO open, warm and inviting. She would LOVE to connect with you!!!
LISA- YOU HAVE SO MUCH WISDOM.
So much wisdom in this interview. Wrote down 3 three quotes. I feel this Freedom❣❣❣
I just came across your channel. It's nice to see your wife smiling all the time and diversity in RVing
I'm just seeing this video it's 9/8/21. Love ur peaceful Vibe. Love ur home as well. U look very peacefull and happy. Ur fur baby is a cutie ❤
Love this video! I am 26 and moving into my Ford Fiesta full time tomorrow.
This interview was awesome 😎 I loved it . You two are awesome God bless you both and maybe I will see you when I decide to get out there .i appreciate you sharing your life with me 😊🤗
This is so beautiful. As a single professional type lady - going on 40, and living in DC - Lisa is literally my #goals. ❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful lady
First time finding you on you tube. Very good interview and very thoughtful. I appreciate the way you listened to Lisa and followed up with interest. Lisa, your philosophy is spot on, peace and freedom. St Paul and Thoreau both expressed different ways to find peace and happiness in whatever life brings. God bless you all for sharing. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more.
Aww yaaaay!! We're glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for the video and subscribing. We really appreciate it!
This absolutely spoke to me and my feelings about life and wanting to start our journey in rving!! Totally loved this interview my husband and I are researching and planning this new journey 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Oh wow I was in Grand Rapids for over a week last summer!! I really enjoyed my time there.
That was one of my concerns...What do you do about an address?
You can use a family members address, I also changed my residence to South Dakota which is nomad friendly.
Cool. Thanks from Seattle!
Tell Lisa I said hello and I will see her out there somewhere someday!!!!
I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED THIS VID, THXXXX👍👍💗🙏💗
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! We're so glad you enjoyed it! Ms. Lisa is AMAZING!!! 😊💛
Thank you for this interview with Lisa. I've seen her once before when she was interviewed by Bob Well/ cheap rv living. I was wondering what happened to her...
I love what you guys are doing, very informative and just awesome. I’ve always wanted to live my freedom intact 🙂😎🇯🇲
Curious how she parks all that in city. Nice set up 😉🦋
My favorite color is also purple!!😄
I find places right outside cities like hotels, Cabelas, some shopping centers, casinos, etc. It takes some research and scouting.
I enjoyed this interview very much. The questions were great and I found Lisa so authentic and refreshing! Thank you for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching!
Great interview, I meet Lisa in Indianapolis at a Harley Davidson dealership a year ago and had a wonderful conversation. Continue to enjoy life on the road!
