DrevinAries I completely agree with you. I used to love watching him and Roode as Beer Money was my favorite tag team in TNA/Impact. I think he wasn’t big in WWE is because he wanted his character to be a certain way and they didn’t agree with it. I hope another company will take him on so he can get another go before he has to retire.
Alex Shelley man. Dude could have carried the X-Division. Especially when Sabin was out with knee surgery. Instead they decided to feed him to Austin Aries for one PPV match and not do anything with him. He then left and went to NJPW where he could've won the IWGP Jr championship but they kept it on Prince Devitt at the time (because Bullet Club) yeah he did alright with Kushida in Timesplitters but he could have been so much more. He could have been a mainstay in the X-Division and World title scene. Heck Sabin got a world title reign and Shelley is a much better wrestler and talker in my opinion.
For real that guy always had tons of charisma, especially early on in the paparazzi productions. He couldve been their version of y2j as a silver tongued rocker
I've always been a little surprised TNA never fully pulled the trigger on Hernandez or Matt Morgan. And at how D'Angelo Dinero's character and push seemed to fizzle out out of nowhere. Oh, and that Christopher Daniels was somehow never World Champion.
I think they might've thought about Hernandez, I remember him getting some singles pushes, but he seriously lacked on the mic. Morgan may be one of their biggest mysteries as he had the size, good worker, talked well, and could work either face or heel. Dinero was so damn talented but was a victim of the horrible Bischoff/Hogan era, and yeah Daniels not being champion, like at any time, seems like a mistake.
Never understood how badly everyone booked Monty Brown. The guy was good. That said, I do agree with the comments that Alex Shelley was the biggest missed opportunity. He was by far my fav wrestler outside of AJ Styles in TNA.
TNA/Impact always seem to have peaks and troughs up until 2010 the company were great especially when Jarrett stopped going all Verne Gange. It took awhile after the Carter/Hogan years but when Anthem bought them they went up in quality around 2016-2017 with the GFW invasion/merger and 2017-2018 was another stellar year. Sadly they lost a lot of talent to AEW & WWE but they're making a good comeback again this year.

Abyss played college football at Ohio university in the 90’s where I go and now he’s a writer for WWE or something backstage they used him a few months ago with AJ in a promo.
I wholeheartedly agree with you on that! He had the in-ring ability, the great promos, the look, and the charisma to make it happen. i was able to see Monty Brown during his brief time with WWE at a house show once. he was tagging with Tommy Dreamer and i remember really enjoying his match.
EC3 in my opinion is TNA's greatest success story. He came in as less then a nobody and not only became a massive heel star with his gimmick as Dixie's spoiled nephew but managed to turn face and get even more popular. I'm glad he's back in impact it feels right having him there
Daffney for me was stupidly underutilised, damn she could have done so damn much, just a shame they kept her mostly playing a more hardcore lita-like valet ,and her with a few knockout reigns would have been something amazing to watch.
I would've put Abyss at #1 simply because my ONLY negative thing that I have to say about Monty Brown is that he didn't have much depth in his character, you could probably say the same about Abyss but that's where Joseph Park came in. Also you could ask yourself if Chris Harris could've been a bigger star but the real question is, should he had been a bigger star. One name that I think should've been on this list was Christopher Daniels
I wouldn't put Eric Young in this list. Yes I am fully aware that he didn't really do anything relevant for the first 2 - 3 years but after that he became a really big star.
For me Monty Brown, James Storm, Robert Roode, and Chris Harris. Monty Brown should’ve been booked as TNA’s answer to Goldberg, and Chris Harris is just kinda sad how he wasted his big potential.

Should have been champ. Amazing Red should definitely be on here as well. One of the best they ever had in the ring. Sarita, Alex Shelley, Desmonde Wolfe, Matt Morgan, the list goes on and on.
Dinero was more due to injury. When Hogan etc came in they continued pushing him. Then had an injury vs AJ in world title match. Injury took a long time to heal and he started prioritizing his studies over wrestling at the time. After he came back though they could have still done better with him.
The only question I have about abyss is didn't hulk hogan try to make him the face of TNA but it didn't work? Or was it because of hulk's booking it didn't work.
