What makes your videos so excellent and entertaining is your relationship with Josh and Willie. I loved that as you were securing the machinery, Josh told you, somewhat embarrassed, that the chain anchor was broken. You could have ripped him a new one, but your attitude was simply, “aah, we’ll fix it later.” Why raise your pressure sweating the little things? I loved how you handled it. You already had to fix one trailer, so what’s another minor job? No wonder these guys bust their butts for you. They are invaluable.
Hi John, That bird you saw is an Eastern Phoebe, a fly catcher. Both sexes are gray and crested. They range all up the Eastern seaboard into Canada and further west into the states beyond New York. Thank you for pointing out this very inquisitive and likable little bird.
@@jacobwise786 see that’s the problem… people like me after a long hard day of mulching go home and watch TH-cam. Blackstone heating up for habachi watching random videos thinking… “that’s nice”… smh… if I don’t stop watching these videos I’m gone be the next one on moonshiners

I love your video, they are great and you are doing great job, cleaning everything at the end. Could you for your next videos, put a BEFORE and AFTER, as it is amazing to see the difference between. Great Job!
Great job boys. Wow there is just so much sunlight getting in there now. That’s going to help her plant growing. That bamboo is great for growing peas and beans up!! Take care and be safe boys. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️👍
I watched you guys chaining down your machines. My buddy and I just purchased some Speedbinders. I think you can only buy them direct. They work very well. Time is money and they are quick! Thanks for the great videos.
Everybody keeps saying we need speed binders, but having to get a drill and keep it charged, seems like it would take the same amount of time. Even if it does save a few seconds it’s negligible. Also regular binders aren’t that hard, I don’t get it.
Bamboo mulch is great as it takes time to break down. My little yard "Lightning" chipper hates it--I have to sharpen the blades too often. So, I quit. LOL
That machine is awesome I love your videos and you guys I could watch that run all day it has to be fun I know it’s a job but fun for sure If I lived around you guys I would try to get a job with you not to be on TH-cam but to work in your field of work
Awesome job, great crew you guys do a fabulous job. Thanks again for sharing all you do. I wish you guys were up here in Massachusetts. Keep up the great work.
Bamboo is almost like gold here in the Philippines! They make all kinds of stuff from it! Including houses! Furniture... shoes purses etc! I’ve seen it used as a scaffolding even to paint more solid houses!
Just paid £45 Uk pounds or $57 worth for 36 lengths of 8 foot canes. I could cry right now. If I'd have known you were doing that job you could have saved me some cash!
Okay, that was impressive. Not only are you local to me, but you can take down bamboo? It's a Christmas come early!! I've got a plot of that nasty grass basically overrunning my parents' place. Cutting it by hand sounds easy until you realize there are thousands of stalks! Looks like I'm gonna have to start saving some pennies!
it actually not that hard to cut down bamboo, I have worked with bamboo for a number of years. cleaning up overgrown bamboo and making it so its more manageable and easier for customers to use their land and still have bamboo. Being that Bamboo is quick growing and pretty and useable for all types of stuff. It is very good for Floors. Mulching bamboo is really not the way to go about getting rid of it. Unless taking at least 6 to 12 inch's of soil away from the site as well. bamboo is bit on hard side to actually completely remove . Not impossible if done right. Mulching is not the right way. digging and removing each bamboo is the correct way.
@@ChakatNightspark You are wrong for saying this and clearly have never done it. I had 3 tree companies walk off my bamboo removal job trying to cut it and chip it. Mine is 40' tall like this stuff. This forestry mulcher is incredible compared to the hundreds of hours of me and other people trying to remove ours even with an excavator and equipment. Cutting it and piling doesn't work because it does not break down and when cut takes up the whole lawn. Burning it sounds like machine gun fire. Please say nothing if you don't know what you are talking about. These guys kicked serious butt on this job I am amazed.
How does your channel have 27k followers with 160,000 views? Your channel is awesome! You and the guys are the best at what you do! I can't wait each week for your newv content. And I watch your old videos!
Bamboo is so invasive. I doubt 4 neighbors got together and said, "Let's all plant bamboo!" It was probably one person who wanted a little privacy screen in their backyard and it turned into this over the last 10 years. Stick with plants native to your zone if you can. Nice work cleaning that up. If they can keep a mower on that spot, they can at least keep it in check now.
That's the bad thing about bamboo, they take over. But there is another kind that doesn't and it stays where you put it. Many people don't know the difference, then they have it covering your whole yard and you can't stop it unless you remove all of it. That means digging yourself to death.
This was a magnificent cleanup job, BUT there is still abundant bamboo around the edges that will be sending in its runners to again take over this now-empty space...plus there will be shoots coming up from intact roots that are still in the cleared area. This battle is not over; no way.
Hope you feel better soon. I'm wondering why you don't complete runs when the other sides are clear? Many times it seems like you get a few feet from a clearing and you back up only to go in again. Finish an area so you are not backtracking all of the time. Good luck, cleared for many years!
I'm curious about this attachment... Seems.like you really have to have it right at the ground level to do a good job, often digging down into the dirt. Isnt that hard on the blades? Don't they get dull pretty quick hitting rocks and whatnot? The rotary style seems to not be as low to the ground but obviously 30gs for one of those....
The alternative to digging up the rhizomes is to suffocate them with heavy tarp or a tarp with thick layer of mulch over it to hold it down and suffocate it. Small shoots that can be sprayed or cut can be managed at this point. Over time the colony will die. If you plan to dig it up be prepared to have many tri axle loads of fill to get rid of. Or a pile the size of a house. Bamboo is the devils plant.
And then what does one do about all the roots that are left behind after this has been done? Seems like running a tiller through it would be about impossible..
Probably not until next Spring but it will definitely be back. The thing I found that works great to kill it is let it send its shoots up to full height and expend all of that energy then just when it starts to leaf out you cut it down before the leaves can send any energy back to the roots. After a couple years of doing that it will have used up all of its energy and will die off. You have to keep an eye on it and have some patience but it works.
Love the channel. Out if curiosity, when you're cutting the brush why do you seemingly cut maybe 3 ft forward and back up 15 ft only to go back to do it again. Just curious...
Your customer just wasted their money that bamboo will be back 3x so thick, bamboo should be illegal to be planted . It's as bad as Kudzu crouds out native plants.
People do still get regular colds and other ailments still, its not ALL CORONA and the smart ones know that already. So get your cough on & enjoy a plain everyday ole cold. it's still ALLOWED lol hope ya feel better
About the only thing you can do with bamboo nowadays. Around here, none of the dumps want it.... there's a dump I go to that takes trash and yard waste....there's no signs for "no asbestos" or "no putrid garbage water", yet 2 or 3 years ago, a "no bamboo" sign mysteriously appeared by the scale 😂 They don't even want it on the trash side 🤷♂️

Yes ,if you don't rip the rhizomes out (roots) they will pop back up within days. I have Timber bamboo in my back yard and I'm screwed!
The English I've is all over here in Durham City England.. Did you say that the bamboo will grow back as its from the grass family..

That's what they wanted
@@UpstateBrushControl You have to keep the customer happy, right?
Trees make me lean.
Just kinda curious, does this prevent bamboo from growing back or are there more preventative measures that need to be taken to keep it down?
If you don't pull the bamboo up by the roots, it will return.
Coronavirus lol 😂 love your videos brother 👍
Nice work!
I'm curious what you would do as a long turm solution, to deal with the bamboo.
if the budget would allow it!
Keep up the good work
dig it up and scrape a large area to get rid of all the rhizomes
The alternative to digging up the rhizomes is to suffocate them with heavy tarp or a tarp with thick layer of mulch over it to hold it down and suffocate it. Ram
And then what does one do about all the roots that are left behind after this has been done? Seems like running a tiller through it would be about impossible..
Now thats the way to cut bamboo.
Wee birdy looking for his nest !!
That Bamboo will come back so fast without digging it up. Just went through that for a customer.

What is the price for this kind of job? Have similar situation in my yard
Every job is priced by the location, terrain, and type of material.
Hope they have a mower they don't care about to mow down all the bamboo as it pops up.
Love the channel. Out if curiosity, when you're cutting the brush why do you seemingly cut maybe 3 ft forward and back up 15 ft only to go back to do it again. Just curious...
Because that is how a forestry mulcher works. Mostly in reverse.
Where are your speed binders? I thought all the Earthworks youtubers were running them now..!
Not this guy, just what I need another tool to keep track of
Now fence it off and keep a couple of goats in there!
What's the name of the company that manufacturer the trailer that you load bobcat excavator on that you tow behind the dodge dually ?
What model is that trailer too ?
It's a Gatormade not sure on the model.
Just thinking about all the cane fishing poles going to mulch🤣
Do you hit many Wasps or Hornets nest while doing brush work
The ole ASV made sawdust outta that bamboo.
Nice safety glasses on a guy with a lime green hat blowing off the skid loader
Your customer just wasted their money that bamboo will be back 3x so thick, bamboo should be illegal to be planted . It's as bad as Kudzu crouds out native plants.
No, its not wasted money. Now the place is cleaned up. The customer just has to mow minimum once a week to make the bamboo not coming back.
The customer is aware it will grow back. They will keep it maintained
Running bamboo has shallow roots. They can slowly start pulling it out a lot easier now.
Bamboo one of the hardest things to get rid of.
That is some really nice bamboo. Anyone knows the variety name?
Not sure.
It's not the Corona, I promise. 🤣🤣
Were they keeping a herd of pandas there?
