I just checked out your website. I really appreciate your designs. I get hyped by your video coverage of Southwest fly fishing. The chill vibe with the soundtrack, the beautiful reflections of water, the amazing fish, it keeps me in the 'dreamy' stage of fly fishing. I actually stumbled on your Perdichingon tying lesson on Umpqua Feather Merchants channel, awesome.
Hey Norm, long time lurker, first time poster. As a new Southwest transplant, I have become fully addicted to The Juan, and now I only bring my euro stick, thanks to your instruction. #donteurothejuan
So rather than ‘match the hatch’ with sz 20 nymphs I can substitute the Perdigons? I was thinking a weighted SJ worm for bottom fly and a Texas midge or similar for dropper?
Yeah, T-hole fish may be more picky, but then I have done well there stripping streamers too. Mix it up and play with other rigs / technuiques, rather than watching the same ole bobber lol! Have a fun and thanks for watching!
Euro does not work on the San Juan!! Your are probably the best fly fisherman in the world, so I’m confident you could catch a 26” brown in a manhole in Main Street Farmington!😂 Thanks for the great vid Norm!! I always learn something from you every time!

Thats awesome and hope the Perdichingon is doing well for you! Thanks for watching!
Great too see a new video! Nope, guess I will not be building out that new Diamondback EN blank.

Definitely give a try! Thanks for watching as well!
Yeah….I’m never going to Euro fish on the San Juan. You made it very clear that it DOES NOT WORK! So few fish caught…..😂😉🎣
What a great day of fishing Norm! Thanks for sharing. I would have liked you to show us the patterns you used even though you did describe them.
Yeah, I forgot to add those in. Will try to get those posted on a tying video. Thanks!

I’ll be fishing the San Juan on Oct.18-19&20th. Yes, I’m taking my 10ft 6in euro rod along with my 5 wt. and seeing which I like best.

@@locomtn16a2 Thanks for watching, much appreciated.
Vida trucha and I were talking about how a lot of people started this doing this after your first video
Haha started a trend. Still dialing it in, which means i have to be on the water to do my research lol. Thanks!
