Nice video, but the three filming lineside, doesn't help the cause of people acting responsibly, it would have been better if the one with the tripod was well behind the cess. I was on that train tour and a very nice journey it was, and with no rain in the South East, it was a blessing, making the tour all the better. It was quite leisurely andchallenging gradients on the route. The beginning of the tour was very stop and start with numerous speed restrictions, once we cleared East Croydon Tangmere got into its stride. It was nice to have Tangmere back on its old hunting ground and it certainly was a good substitute for Clan Line. Personally, I thought the Golden Arrow regalia was a bit over the top, I know it was an all Pullman train leaving Victoria, but it certainly wasn't the Golden Arrow route, however it looked the part!

Two of the guys at the foot crossing were well away from the track in a place of safety - I don’t know what the third guy thought he was doing; even if there weren’t going to be any other trains, it’s still unsafe and breaks the rules. No wonder Network Rail want to remove all the foot crossings. 😊 Hilary
@@hilsthetrainlady4683 Quite, you wonder why people do this. I didn't mention that Tangmere and the train should have been crewed by DB Cargo footplate men in a memo I had received from UK Railtours, my understanding is WCR wouldn't allow that, so the stock was hauled into Victoria by a WCR cl.47 diesel and not a DB Cargo diesel, so I think you'll find this will be the last time Tangmere hauls the Belmond Pullman stock. Also a WCR Black 5 loco was due to haul two Belmond Pullman Festive trains, but this has been cancelled by Belmond and the trains will now be diesel hauled. So no doubt Belmond will be glad when Clan Line is back!! However Tangmere performed well and it was a very enjoyable day.

Very enjoyable compilation - varied locations amid the Autumn colours. Nice touch waiting for the barriers to drop whilst hearing the approach to the crossing.

The fool who is filming from the pedestrian crossing line-side in these shots is doing all he can to stop steam specials. Totally irresponsible and selfish.
I agree. I've seen him around before, but I don't know who he is. There were already two other people set at the side of the crossing when he arrived (I was watching with the camera zoomed in!). Maybe he thought he'd be OK to get away with it as it's not a busy line and it was a strike day. Bonkers! Hilary
