Funny thing is, most of these attacks are still in line with the lore of each character.
I love how well they managed to fit these attacks into Touhou, even though the settings have almost nothing in common!
It's not a big deal, really. The attacks look drastically similar in concept and Touhou powers are pretty general

Mazinger: Flies off from the explosion. Utsuho: SHE IS THE EXPLOSION.
Nitori's Full Armor attacks are mostly references to Full Armor ZZ, with Hyper Cucumber mirroring the Hyper Beam Saber and the Pororoca (the water canon) mirroring the Hyper Mega Canon. The missles are also similar, but less of a direct comparison. Her new attack in Dream is essentially the Great Booster (which also looks like the Drill Spazer).
TH wiki said Pororocca is a reference to Tekkaman blade o-o. but I don't know if I should trust this
I can vaguely see that it might be a reference to the Sol Tekaman 2's rifle shot (th-cam.com/video/SOAVXrzDcEM/w-d-xo.html)
I still think the overall theme matches FA ZZ. Even the ZZ's music syncs up well with the attack well:

I've check both rn, Nitori and Tekkaman's voltekka attack do share similarities, but the weapon IS FAZZ's Hyper Mega Cannon. Maybe I'll just put both XD in the next one
Great putting these side by side. Gensou Shoujo Taisen picked some great attacks to rework for all the characters.

That Stoner Sunshine looked more like an Air-to-Ground Photonic Beam from Shin Mazinger, and the Aquarion attack seemed more like EVOL's.
ChReNiC that attack that went side by side with the Stoner Sunshine looked more like a successful version of Vegeta's Galick Gun against Goku.

I think it's because the charge up us simular to how Shin Getter does it in one of the games but yeah Master Spark is a beam and not an energy ball like Stoner Sunshine.
It's a nice compilation it's missing some attacks though....
Nue can do the Moonlight Butterfly from Turn A Gundam
Utsuho has one similar to the Twin buster rifle from Wing Zero Gundam
Cirno does an ice Axis drop (that you can also see on their dynamic special)
Since you put from other animes not included on Super Robot Wars, Super Byakuren it's basically a Super Saiyan mode most movement that she do in that mode are extremely similar to the ones from Dragon Ball Z

Most of these are combinations of two attacks from the SRW series, also some of them are a bit wrong in their references.
I love how about 1/3 of the time, the reference version is enhanced or extended in some way.
I wonder if any attacks will be updated in the Complete Box. As bloated as Alice's attack list already is, I'm still disappointed the Goliath Doll didn't get in an attack. It would be max hype if an original attack where she unseals The Grimore of Alice would be made, but I'll settle for Goliath Doll being added into an attack. Neither is likely to happen but I can dream.
Hell, it would probably be more interesting if Goliath Doll would be a summonable doll like the others, but that would definitely be asking for too much.
IMO the Goliath Doll should be put at least as a special attack since Hisoutensoku is a playable unit in the game.
Though I'm more disappointed that the giant catfish ain't playable XD

GST Complete Box has been out for a while now. Maybe I'll upload gameplay vids once a translation comes out.
Nepgeardam According to Nook, no major work is going into the Complete patch until the major update that is happening in June. Dream is still being worked on, though all the stage translations are available already.
I really hope after the complete edition of super maiden wars, there more games, srw x touhou have a lot of potencial

now i really miss battle moon wars. I wish it gets a sequels or expansion with all the new tm stuff like grand order and strange fake and many more I hope someday it gets more love! I wonder if the folks who worked on that comiket release got employed into TM or something! also wish the touhou SRT style games and BMW get voice dubbing too someday!

Sorry if my last comment seemed rude but yeah it really was unnecessary. A way you could have audio from both games is by having one clip play after the other. So for example have the gensou shoujo taisen clip play first and then the super robot wars clip, that way the audio from both games won’t overlap and become a mess of sound.

Hm, no Sangassei clone of the Dragonar team attacks. I'm pretty sure they cloned the Triple Laser. Also, China's final attack from the first game I've taken to calling the Bakuretsu Colorful Finger for a good reason.

I haven't quite played through the second and third games yet. In the first game the references are already thick and fast. The most obvious ones?
- Reimu has the attack list of the Nu Gundam although in comparison Sanbodo didn't spend their animation budget on her (only Evil Sealing Barrier has no analogue).
- Marisa has the SRW4 Grungust's attack list, all the way down to Master Spark/ FINAL BEAM, although she switches Keitou Ragouken /Omega Laser and An Ken Satsu/Final Beam in damage tier.
- Youmu had the Reishiki Grungust's attack list, Myon is her Boost Knuckle
- Nitori had the Getter 3's attack list, although she beam sabers instead of rams. Too bad she can't do Dai Setsu Zan Oroshi.
- Rumia had the Black Salena's attack list (how fitting!)
- Cirno had the Daitarn 3's attack list (this is why her overkill animation for Perfect Freeze makes her go Atai Crash, its the Sun Attack overkill animation)
- Daiyousei had the attack list of the Methuss, piloted by Fa Yuri (also very fitting). Although yes she uses a shotgun instead of a beam rifle.
- Alice is the Superior Gundam, especially after she learns Shanghai Doll..
- Elly has the attack list of the Gundam Deathscythe (not Hell or Hell Custom, just Deathscythe). although her floor tiles are original
- Momiji has the Aura Battler Dunbine's attack list (although her ranged weapon is different)
- Yuuka is an extremely powerful Geshpenst TT.
Yeah I should probably play more SRW OG so I don't miss references XD Thanks man.

The fact that GST has better animations than most of SRW30 says a lot about how much they care about this game. Hell, i'd say their love for the franchise stays in OG games by looking at how much of a difference there is between the new VTX/30 era.
Better choreography overall. This is a game made by fans of SRW after all, so it is no surprise they distilled the best of SRW and made it into its own series.

@@Mngalahad That's legit o-o. also, I just looked at Akurasu wiki, and you can now play Mystic and Eternal in full english with a patch. last year, what prevented me from playing Mystic was because the translation patch's required version was 1.1.5 or something. and the latest update for Mystic was 1.2.0 making the patch not work. but as of now you can play the first 3 games with full ENG patch... except Dream cause idk if anyone is going to finish translating that.

lol nope, a lot of these are very similar but most of the 2hu counterparts arent similar enough to be considered perfect copies, they are more like reworks, with nicely done alterations to fit in a Touhou fangame
