Still love this after watching for the 100th time. When people said “he was a tenor before” they mean his starting range was higher when he was younger, but when he started to develop his bass, he didn’t want to lose his upper range so he practiced both equally

That is true of all five HF members. The four normal singers can all reach C2, which makes them basses, and C5, which makes them tenors. Meanwhile, Rupp may have the widest range of the bunch given the different sounds he makes while beatboxing.

On Tim's new Doo Wop album "Pieces Of Me", he does Beach Boys song "In My Room" but sings the beginning harmonies of "Warmth Of The Sun" to start and end the song.

Ok. Southerner here. Not news, I know. 😉 Tim changed the lyric that one time. He’s asking for “a LITTLE bit” longer. That one time he’s saying “A LOT - a bit" longer. He wants more than a little bit, therefore, “a lot” a bit. We like to make up words in the south. 😆
His talent is incredible. Great reaction. ❤️ I think you would enjoy “My Maria” with Austin and Tim in the “backyard” over on Austin’s channel.

Glad I could help clear that up. I believe Tim is from Texas. I have more of a west Tennessee/east Arkansas accent. I’m sure those outside of the US tend to think of a southern accent/dialect as one thing. No! There are so many different southern accents. However, there are some similarities in all of them, which make it easier to understand each other. And there truly is a common propensity to create words for our own purposes. 😆
      I’m
Curious to hear “a lot a bit” in a British accent!

Another Southern singer here (Okie).. The lotta bit had to have been a conscious decision to change the word. I definitely noticed it too, and thought why did he do that. It was too much of a change to have been just trying to make the "ih" in little taller and more open.

Tim is absolutely amazing when it comes to his vocal range. If you ever watch him when he sings in his higher range he usually leans into it. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to Tim today. Oh by the way Chance is also doing solo stuff on his TH-cam channel.

Over 5 octave range! Was a high tenor well into high school. Tim said he lik3d hearing his grandparents music loved the high tenors and really loved those low basses. He just kept singing both parts.

Great analysis.... Tim is amazing! It's crazy how many ranges and modes he sings in.
Can Tim really be close to 5 octaves? I'm glad he's getting as much in while he's young. Believe me , I know ... lost my upper falsetto in my 50's. The mix and recording on this vid superb too.

I usually watch reactions once, rarely up to 3 times. But I have to admit that I watched your reaction for this particular video about 20x during the past weeks, watched it even more than the original video. Especially the part from 4:35 - 6:05, just priceless. It's been always a guarantee to tears of joy. Love it.

You gotta love Tim and his range. Us Home Fries really do try to help all the reactors on their journey through Home Free and the guys singles. Chance also has some solo stuff on his channel. I would love for you to hear some of his stuff. He also does work with The Fox and the Hound (folk style) I think Tim has done a few songs with them too.

Chance's solo stuff is gorgeous. I always start trying to list my favorites and then I just end up listing all of them. As far as his collab work, my absolute favorite, hands-down is Hurt with The Hound + the Fox, but others he's done with them and with Peter Hollens are wonderful as well. A lot of reactors find Tim and Austin but miss Chance, which is a shame because he's a gifted singer - songwriter.

The verse previously was "a little bit longer" then he switched it to "alotta bit longer"
Not technically a word but definitely one you can feel in this context.
