Never in a million years did I think my first designer bag would be a Chanel (I never even thought I'd ever buy a designer in the first place!) There were so many more affordable bags that I liked but I never compromised. If I was gonna spend so much money, it had to be on a bag I'm completely in love with. One day, I randomly found the dream bag that I never knew I wanted on the pre-loved market and was able to snag it for a decent price (my experience was kinda like how you found your Cognac Chanel flap). It was an impulse buy, but I'm so glad I went for it, especially considering the prices of Chanel bags this year!

An interesting journey!! You've sold so many bags I still have and enjoy. I think the thing is to purchase bags that suit your style and lifestyle, and not just because they're trendy. That way they last in your collection.

I absolutely love Celine bags! I used to own about 25 pieces of Celine bag and last year, I decided to sell almost half of it because I didn't reach them as much as I thought I would be. Sad, but there's no point in me holding on to something that doesn't really go well with my outfit or style. I agree with your statement that maybe during that time, we thought that bag looks pretty but we didn't think about the outfit that goes well with it. Good video btw! :)

A have a medium Antigona and I got it for school also. It does get heavy AF and it’s so structured that you can’t really stuff it. I almost sold it once but kept it. It’s has sentimental value given that my bf helped me buy it. I still have it and only wear it in the winter with my wool coats.

I'm weirdly sad that 3 of the Saint Laurent's you let go, I have in my collection now but I do understand your sentiment, and how you're phasing out silver hardware(I prefer silver though, because of the current jewelry I wear lol)! For the Sac de Jour though, I suggest getting a Baby size(Nano one is so much smaller and doesn't fit much), It fits a whole lot but still has that structure and 'professional look' you loved with the small! I have both sizes and you're right, the small size is overwhelming at times, ESPECIALLY when walking around a big city. I LOVE your current (and previous) collection so much, Alyssa! Might have to copy your if you buy one, you'll sell one mantra, lol xx

You might have already answered this question, but how do you authenticate your bags when purchased preloved? I just put a Chanel Diana bag on layaway on fashionphile but it doesn’t come with the card, none of the ones they had for sale did.

Out of curiosity, did you get a decent price back for the bags you sold? Like over 50% back?
Definitely! Especially once I sold on my own and not through consignment shops, I would break even or maybe make 80%-90% of my money back. :) It helps when bags are still in really great condition/like new with all the cards, packaging, etc.

Hey!💕 Don’t wanna come off nosy but I was in your position last year and I finally decided to get the Celine nano luggage bag. First I didn’t want it in black even though it looks amazing in black bc already have a few black bags so i was on the hunt for a red one. SA told me it’s not in season and won’t be in next season either so I finally got it in the souris color. 1. The strap is not adjustable so it’s too long for me (I’m 5’5) I tried it on in store but I thought I could make it work (bc I really wanted the bag) The SA did tell me that I could tie a knot on the strap to shorten it (it works and looks great) but I don’t feel comfortable doing that to the leather strap at all, especially when all the weight is on it. 2. The color isn’t really working out for me even though it’s a nude. 3. The handles. I feel like over time the handles can get really dirty especially with the type of leather it is. So scared of touching it with wet or sweaty hands! the inside of the bag is not lined idk it it will bother you but I actually don’t really like it that way. 📌My advice is to PLEASE try it on very thoroughly before considering it! It was supposed to be my everyday bag or travel bag but now I want to sell it bc I’m not getting the use out of it at all, it’s just sitting in its dust bag😢

What inspired you to have love for luxury bags and other stuff?
My aunt had a beautiful collection and as my interest in fashion grew, and my clothing style became simpler, I always wanted a bag to kind of make my outfit! As I did more research, read the stories behind the designs, and the craftsmanship behind them, I just loved curating my collection over time. :)
My wallet got stolen from my bucket bag too! I don’t trust that type of bag anymore 😂
