Loved the video! Got a heptaforce installed and waiting for ECU appointment. Helped me figure out what else I needed to do. Hope you’re doing okay after the wreck!
Curious about that fuel mileage tracking on your mt10 David. Last time I bothered to check I got 25mpg almost exactly. That's doing hard pulls repeatedly. I'm always at the gas station but well worth it. By the way, we did have that yosh slip-on on the wrong side of mounting bracket. Holy cow is that thing loud w/o baffle, was pissing people off!😂 Looks tucked in and pretty normal now.👍 Thanks David!
I know you mentioned not to block off the air system unless you use a full system without cats? Would you block it if you are using just the Graves slip on?
So, the pair valve only works when the throttle is fully turned off, which means it won't affect the AF ratio while rolling the throttle in any degree except 0%? Preaparing for dyno test and ECU flash recently, wondering is there a need to disable pair valves temporarily while testing AF ratio. Thanks!
Did you weigh the bike stock? I assume it's close to advertised curb weight anyway. But it would be cool to see how much weight you end up saving once you get it in full race trim!
I did my best attempt with 3 scales and like 3/4 tank of gas 410 lbs. i have a component weight spread sheet on my zx4rr testing page linked to in the description
@@vcyclenut 410 stock? spreadsheet looks like you should be down 25-30 pounds from that roughly, right? That's really solid, in the territory of ninja 250r/300 weight. It must feel amazing on track. Thoughts on the full steel frame? Any plans to modify/build something different for that, or is it not bad?
@@northernninja3321 yes that was all stock. I got 390 lbs right before the track day with the stuff i removed. Should be another 10 lbs down for the champ school later this month
@@vcyclenut Very nice! I'm waiting on our local dealer to get a floor model later this month before I decide if I'm placing an order for next year. We get a single R version up here as well, I'm curious to see what the differences are. It's over $1k cheaper
I got velocity stacks, full system exhaust, emission block off cap, hi flow air filter. Should I remove my evap? Does it change anything if I take it off or leave it on?
how do i remove the o2 sensor without taking the tank off? i’ve been trying with my hands but it seems like it doesn’t want to come off. What did you use or do I have to press a button?
It’s behind the right side fairing by the radiator Follow the wire bike from the o2 sensor and you will see it goes into a rubber cover. The plug is inside that.
@@vcyclenut Just placed first order with you! I should have looked in your descriptions & comments sooner. After break in period, look forward to you doing my ECU Flash.
Question for you. I ordered the Yoshi Hepta Force exhaust and am wanting to keep this otherwise as stock as possible. Is there an issue if I just extend the O2 sensor and don’t do a flash? I’m not overly concerned about more performance, I just wanted a bit more sound and a lower profile mounted exhaust. Also not wanting to risk voiding any of my warranties.
The o2 sensor doesnt do what you think it does Why I disable the O2 sensors on motorcycles with the ECU flash th-cam.com/users/livesAVJ4bgi8cs?feature=share
@vcyclenut yes. I tuned it with tst industries, i emailed them and they said they don't promote that because if it does it means its running too rich 😕
@vcyclenut oh lol yea i just found your vids tbh i would have sent it to you had i heard about you guys first. Do you think i would need to re flash it? Or something else i can do myself?
This guy knows what he's talking about! Thanks for sharing knowledge, I wish you lived close to CO
No problem. Almost all my business is people mailing me their ecu

no, the slip on still keeps the catalytic converter , no reason to add the plates and the PAIR valve will keep that cat healthy
Very informative, thanks!

Preaparing for dyno test and ECU flash recently, wondering is there a need to disable pair valves temporarily while testing AF ratio. Thanks!
In theory yes. But they can leak. Always best to block it off when analyzing the exhaust to measure air fuel

What if you do just a slip and flash. Do you need to cap the ports and remove the smog pump?
Do you mean the pair valve? There is no pump
If you mean the pair valve. No. If the catalyst is still installed leave it active
yes I meant to say the pair valve, sorry. So with a flash, Grave slip on and high flow air filter leave the pair valve correct?

Makes no difference in performance

What did you do with the electrical connector to the purge valve? Bypassed it with a resistor?
no, I disable the code with my flash so you dont get a check engine light

Can you do a video on removing the 4RR tank? Also, can't find your ECU removal video??
Disregard. Found your ECU instructions on your website.
Its part of the ecu removal. I did a non video instruction. Link in description

hi, is it necessary to remove the canister?
Or can I just install the block off plates?
No it’s not needed. I’m just showing how.
You don’t need to block off the pair either.

With that air going into the exhaust, is there any effect on engine braking stock vs aftermarket system and block off plates installed?
No. The ais system has no effect on engine braking
Im pretty new to bikes. I got my zx4rr tuned w full exhaust and was really hoping it would shoot flames but it doesn't, am i missing something?
Did I tune it?
@vcyclenut yes. I tuned it with tst industries, i emailed them and they said they don't promote that because if it does it means its running too rich 😕
@@ManuelAlvarez-cw8om lol I asked if I tuned it.
It’s not bad for the bike for it to pop and flame on decel.

I don’t know what they did in the ecu to be able to answer that.
Have you done a dyno with the Yoshimura R77s?
working on it over the next couple days, ill have a full video for it when im done
If I remove the solenoid on the pair valves but not unplug it will it still throw a code ? Like just undo it and move it out of the way
That would work fine and not get a CEL
Nice
Good start removing useless stuff and bringing weight down 😊
