The US doesn't have to extract wealth out of the US population to fund the army.
The States use their dollar hegemony and extracts wealth everywhere in the dollar empire.
Clearly to see in balance of trade. The vassal states give much more to the states than they get. Kind of a tribute.
So the US funds the army it needs, to press the tribute it needs, to fund the army it needs, to press the tribute....
But its not the US taxpayer, who funds the military.
