Hip Hop just lost a masked titan. I just missed seeing Doom at the second stage in 2007 at Rock the Bells because I walked away after Zion-I's set to go find my homies who I got separated from earlier. I was that close..aaggh...and now I never will get the chance to see him. R.I.P. Doom. Much love to your wife and kid, your whole family and friends ✌🏿
I respect the shit out of wu-tang, the first supergroup that was dope emcees instead of just homies that could flow and the fact that they did colabs with artists that weren't mainstream but put out dope music just shows that hip can't be dead when wu-tang is forever!
RZA's production cant be touched, he's better than Dre. Edit: i still love Dre, don’t get me wrong he is a legend but it’s something about RZA that i enjoy much more & prefer
His style is so different from Dres i don't understand how you can compare them at all. You might prefer RZA (like many do) but you have to admit from a pure quality perspective their about the same level....
Just gonna comment and hope the people who roasted Keenan Down Can see the magic they did last year, or possibly even 2 years ago (depending on when the comments were made.
Whats so dope about this bit is it basically describes me over the last like 7 years. Didn't chill with anyone, work, talk with anyone, didn't shave, hair was all knotted from not brushing it.(managed to keep the knots looking like sweet natural rasta dreads Dope as fuck for a white dude.) God I fucking love this beat too.
Rest In Peace, MF DOOM! (All caps). This be the first song I heard from him. / (¡Descansa en paz, MF DOOM! Esta fue la primera canción que escuché de él).
Loved to play this track on Final fight streetwise ps2, at that time I was just a kid, I didn't know much about rap til about 15 years ago, so many (real) artists in the underground are so incredible.
I'm not a big rap guy, I'm a guy who is into all music overall, and I gotta say I really respect the Wu Tang Clan for making rap with actual music, for actually incorporating different instrumentations. These lyrics feel productive to, which is nice because I feel like in rap lately the song meanings have become repetitive. Terrific song!
DOOM is wack? No taste In classic and dope underground rap then. He has so many songs, and the the way he writes is odd and unique, just got look into it
well hes not mainstream right? haha I would consider him underground, everybody i tell about DOOM is like "who the fuck is that" but either way hes one of my inspirations and a reason why i sponge lead on a pad now
Mathias Schultz You have a point. Now that i think about it only two of my friends know DOOM. I guess among people with a basic knowledge of hip-hop he isnt underground at all but with people who listen to punk or dubstep or whatever he is pretty unknown
MF the structure of his rhymes, every syllable in the punchline rhymes how much he's on the beat the way he stretches it over the the bars his delivery theres no 1 like him, taking nothing away from the RZA who's alway on point as well
Rest in peace to one of the greatest ever man..
RIP DOOM
rip DOOM
RIP MF DOOM..............................................
All the best are and we're basically misunderstood as being insane WTF is that
Exactly I’ve never listen to mf doom but I heard some joints with him and rza I mess with rza music I’m inspired by his flow
If only we had a whole album of RZA with DOOM. That shit would be absolutely amazing.

Man, this is how I discovered doom. Thanks wu tang. Rest in peace doom.
Same here, man. This song made me listened to Mmm.. Food. From there I just dig in deep into Doom's mastery in lyrics and flow.

Imagine the beats these two would compose if they came together for a whole album!

Easy super easy 👍
Dre stay overrated tho, as producer or mc.
And a better MC

RIP MFD!
The Legend.
Easily some of the best verses from both rappers. RIP DOOM
Drunk or sober son don't loose your composure.
What RZA did with producing and making music with kung fu samples, MF DOOM did with mastery of game samples. Genius
RIP to one of the most caring and inspirational spiritual leaders of our time
It's a miracle, how he get so lyrical, then proceed to move the crowd, like an old negro spiritual.
"They say he rhyme like he starvin and sold odds and bodkins to old gods and goblins"...too dope
One of the most impressive
With wild imaginings that you can't discuss
He'd wear his beard like a frizzly haired grizzly,
And kept his appearances exquisitely rare, where is he?

A lot of 90s/80s rap does that, so if you’re looking for more Wu-Tang stuff check out some other artists from that era
