If they ever wanted to explore a story where Link goes to the Dark Side, I could imagine this incarnation of Link trying to get the Triforce to bring back Marin.
as someone who's long loved this game I'm so glad to see someone discussing all the things that make it stand out as an amazing game. it's so fun, we'll thought out, and makes great use of the limitations of the gameboy to tell a fun low stakes story (and bonus points for that soundtrack and art style!!)
Great series! I appreciate your insight! It's funny because I had this game on the Gameboy color when it came out (I think it came with the gamboy?) And I barely played it even though I loved the legend of zelda on the nes. Maybe it was just because I was in middle school and it seemed too daunting after zelda years earlier. Either way, I played through the one on the switch and it was great. I recommend it!
The Switch remake is definitely worth it if you liked the original or the GBC version; Dampè from OoT runs a dungeon builder and you get pieces to make your own dungeon based on the 8 dungeons in the main game. You can actually make your own boss rush dungeon😊

The world ending conflict of LA is actually one of the best parts
Yeah for sure, there aren't many games from that time which are subtle in their writing the way LA is

The 2019 remake was excellent. Totally worth it. It was a trip down memory lane with a refreshed feeling that I dreamed of when I was a kid.
