After googling up and down and left and right and thinking about things and stuff and kettles and pots.... this is going to be my first and probably only setup as well + the gsi 8" frypan.
I have a similar kit, but mostly use the Soto Amicus As it’s just so much better in wind and light breezes, and I need my coffee as soon as possible. LOL I do take the BRS when peakbaggong in for one every gram counts.
I appreciate this as I’m looking for a setup myself. Have you ever thought about turning the fuel canister upside down? It may help with the rust on your cup and the cavity should still allow your stove and items to fit.
Thank you for a nice run down on this. You talked me into taking my PR 2 and putting in my bounce box as a back up. I’ll stick with the BRS stove. More than half the weight of the PR 2. Thanks again.
The only part that I wouldn't spend the money on would be the dyeema bag. Since the cup comes with a bag, I use that. To me it's not work 20 bucks plus shipping to save 9 grams. Everything else is spot on and I use the exact same equipment. My own set also includes a tiny vial of soap and a very small sponge/scrubber.
For me the dyneema bag isn’t just about weight savings, but it’s a non-porous material that doesn’t soak up water or hold onto dust. For me this is totally worth it as I’ve had experience with the Toaks bag collecting a ton of dust in high alpine desert areas.
It also works as a cozy. I made one with reflectix and tested how long ot would keep my food warm. I then tested the one that Toaks supplies and it worked just as well. So, without spending more money, I have dual function of the bag.
Awesome video, I’m actually blown away there’s no other comments here… but just wanted to say I really enjoyed it.
I really appreciate you taking the time to comment! Thank you for your kind words and glad you enjoyed it! :) That makes me happy.
Love the kit and the humor!! Thank you! Subscribed and look forward to the other vids !!
I don't like long videos, and I don't know why I enjoyed watching this whole video :D
