Ich komme sehr gerne von Zeit zu Zeit zurück zu diesem Video. So viel Weisheit und Lebenserfahrung. Roedelius ist ein ganzheitlicher Künstler. Er macht Musik und Gedichte für die Seele. Er ist seinem Ausbildungsberuf als Mediziner in gewisser Weise doch treu geblieben. Er macht therapeutische Arbeit. Ich bin ihm so dankbar für sein Schaffen.
For some reason, listening to this man speak makes me cry. Much more than an inspiration, Roedelius embodies for me the sort of character and way of life that I want live myself - humble and grateful, always true to oneself and ones own path in life, fully embracing the gift of life and being, or "The gift of the moment", as one of his best works is called. Not even to mention his uncompromising artistic output over half a century, very influential to my own experimental music. I look at this old man and I see a person I dream of becoming by the end of my life.
Live 1974 (Harmonia) will always be one of the best testimony of "what Krautrock/Electronic music can reach". My project of "Something You Hear" would never have existed without this man. An eternal thank you. SYH
