Im watching the werkplaatsvlogs now and even if I don’t understand most of it it is amazingly detailed. And now this summarized what I have seen over the last few weeks. Amazing
Subtitles can take a while on the werkplaatsvlog. Vieuwers are doing the subtitles. It might take a few days before its on. There also a playlist for videos that are already subtitled and it keep been updated 👍
Because there's nobody in the uk mad enough or bold enough to take on a basket case like this. Some tank purists may baulk at some of the maintenance techniques & paint finishes but from a purely functional engineering viewpoint these guys gain my increasing admiration week-on-week.
Awesome work chaps! An 11min video for what I'm sure was weeks and weeks of very hard work on these tracks! Loving watching this project and all the ideas you come up with to get things done :D
Not more than a few days for this video. You can see that in te werkplaatsvlog how long they work on something. Most of the video's that they upload on this channel are a week's work.
Love you guys and your project! On another channel, a tank expert sort of said your project was easy because the tank was intact and simple. I let him know what you and Dirk were doing with ordinary shop tools and ingenuity was nothing short of remarkable! I can't wait until you finish in the engine compartment and get started on the turret! Excellent work!!!
We use Kano Aerokroil. It will penetrate a gap of 1,000,000 inch. We use it to loosen rusty Longwall mining bolts. We use a garden sprayer and soak the part. The rust will dissolve in about two weeks
Excellent work guys! I have found myself checking every day for updates on your project, sort of habit like watching the evening news😂. Greetings from Finland!
I have seen things getting stuck, but i have never seen anything be that stuck! Absolutely ridiculous how much it takes to get those unstuck... I can only clap for effort that goes into restoring this tank..
Zit echt geweldig mooi in mekaar.
Like a pro!
Brilliant everyday engineering lads, well done. I thought electrolysis would've done it, but those pins were so tight that the electrolyte couldn't get in nor the rust flakes out. Your heating & movement solution is elegant.
Hey guys. I saw some of your videos months ago. But know I'm watching all of them. You improve with explanations and maturity of your work from oldest videos. I learned more of mechanics and engine than ever with you. Keep going this way. Groetjes van Belgïe (Ik ben franstalig)
I was keeping up with your vlogs on the tracks and it really seemed like you were having a difficult time and that it was slowing you down. But I am very glad that you found a very effective and quick way to unlink the tracks. Side note, you guys are restoring this tank blazingly quick in a small workshop with a small budget, I admire the admiration and dedication you guys have put into the restoring of this tank.
Great series going on here with plenty of intelligent engineering, what I wouldn’t give to have a project like this! Odd as I sounds I don’t speak a word of Dutch but I could listen to this guy all day
Alright, where there is a will, there will always be a way. It may take some time to figure out the way, but persistence will eventually pay off. Bravo guys Bravo. Thumbs Up!
Thanks for explaining the whole process, a lot of these attempts I had not seen. Must have been frustrating....but you finally beat it..😀 well done again on an awesome project.
Great source d effects loved working with the Dutch really nice people .you should have put the tracks in a bath of Dutch coffee that would have got those pins out while you sit and have a beer and cake
Great stuff! Aside from the interesting mechanical improvisations, all very cool ... it is interesting to hear how much Deutsch - Niederländisch - and English are related.
I don't know what you plan on doing with track links, but if you need to clean them I suggest getting a large drum that will fit a good amount of them, then filling it 1/3 of the way full with either sand or corn meal. Then devise a method to spin the drum on its axis, maybe a couple of tires that are free spinning for support and one to drive it. This will polish them and allow you to coat them with whatever you wish.
John Griffin I wonder if he is going to reuse them at all. Many pins were broken and have to be replaced. That will not be that hard. Welding on cap on one side and use the lathe to make it fit properly. But reconditioning the old ones is an option too. Let’s what they will come up with!
Greetings also from Finland. You have greatgreat channel. You really put effort also on subtitles, and thats also must for foreing viewers. So much more cosy for european, than million dollar us channels. Great respect
They just mentioned on the other channel that they are hoping to announce something one this soon. Apparently they already have filed for all necessary permits.
What will I do for entertainment when it is finished :o This is one ace series. Also, you should win an innovation award for the track splitting machine :o)
Soldier, I told you to move that catapult back! Oh, my mistake, I see now it's a track abattior. This tank restoration series is too much fun to ever conclude. I would be perfectly happy if you stretched things out. I'm sure that only only one or two reeetards are getting anxious. Pay them no heed.
lijkt wel een stalen horlogeband die rupsband. Echt precies dezelfde constructie!
Now the links are off, electrolysis would be my choice as it doesn't remove any good metal, only the rust. With a light paint those tracks will look like new!
Glad your tank project is back on track.

I love how the sense of humor in other countries varies just enough. The "game show" type satire is fantastic
I'm glad to see that the track problem has been fixed. It's so frustrating when things don't work.
