Today my GP who is not a psychiatrist told me talking therapy, and or CBT wont help me and I should take Sertraline (yet he could not give any diagnosis on whats wrong with me and was blase af). I came off all my medications early this year and im so glad i did! You have to do whats right for you but iv never heard of sertraline helping and i know quite a few ppl that have taken it and had similar problems. Hi Joe, I am sorry you are having such a horrid time with the Sertraline. I hope with the help of your mental health team you can find a way through. Keep on keeping on, all the best ...
Joe I dont have much advice, as I struggle myself each day with severe chronic autoimmune diseases & pain. This in itself wipes me out & totally can spin me into a depression. Some days are better, some are close to impossible. I've struggled since I was 25 & I'm now 56. Also I have extreme hair loss also & I'm a female so it's a very hard thing to deal with...so hang in there, as a Male I think guys look great with no hair. As a previous nurse, you catch the flu from someone or somewhere not actually getting cold. If your body system is weakened sometimes it makes a virus, etc to grab onto you...if that makes sense. I haven't made videos on my channel for a couple months because I'm in a downward spiral & just trying to get better also. Take care & know that you are definitely not alone, as you can see from all your comments. I'm in USA & our medical care is extremely expensive. My meds are over 800.00/month & Dr & blood work is over 200.00 every 6 months. Its terrible. I also have the horrible sleep patterns, dragging feelings each day because of it. Being in the gardens help greatly but right now where I'm living...no place to garden. I hope to move back to my home area next year & go back to my gardening. Hate so much that Drs rush you & dont listen to the patient. Love seeing you & Kelly doing whatever y'all choose to do.
I couldn’t cope with setraline gave me terrible migraines 😞so stopped those ,as suffer enough with migraines and bad headaches ,good thing to do joe research on these things ,you take care joe 😊
Just goes to show, my OH has been on Sertraline for 6 years now - thats drug number 5 or 6 i think, and the first one thats actually made her human again. Thing with Sertraline is dosage - if you go in cold at a dosage like 100mg it'll mess you up for weeks until you get used to it. She stopped for a couple of weeks as she couldnt get to the docs for her script, and went back on the same dosage - mucked her up for a month!
I hopped on 100 right away and just kind of dealt with the side effect. Then upped it to 150 after two weeks and the side effects weren’t bad at all. What did she experience
I hate SSRIs. My experience with them is that they work by cutting off the sharp edges of depression, anxiety etc., but they also dull down happiness and enjoyment. They made me numb and uncaring. That’s it. They cannot make you happy or enthusiastic for life. And the higher the dose and longer the the course of “treatment” the worse the dullness becomes. I want to experience my life for what it is, both the good and the bad, highs and lows. I combat mood irregularity with Vitamin D, a healthful diet, daily strenuous exercise, as much time as i can get outdoors, hard, productive work, fun, and motivational V logs such as yours! Be so very careful with that stuff, Joe.

Joe, please do be very careful. My daughter was on this drug when she committed suicide. She was about your age. I do NOT want to lose anyone else. Your pill basket is nothing! You should see the 2 storage containers I have, at 71 with an autoimmune disorder, I really support the prescription drug industry. LOL Take care.
So very sorry for your loss. I too deal everyday with several autoimmune diseases. I have the load of meds too. I'm now 56 but have dealt with it since I'm 25 after having a severe case of flu. I just never recovered. It's no joke to deal with autoimmune diseases.
Hey jo just a thought if you have Netflix or if not maybe on here somewhere have you watched game changer. It’s fascinating and probably right up your street given you love growing.
I would say speak to your doctor first in all honesty, maybe they can advise you on the best Treatment for your needs. I like many others suffered major side effects of taking such an SSRI and I wouldn’t recommend taking them unless you feel like you need them or you take the advice of your doctor.
Hey man. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm on day 3 of Zoloft and am concerned about continuing. It's such a hard decision. Funnily I was also prescribed an antipsychotic/mood stabiliser but I'm reluctant to go anywhere near that shit, they can seriously fuck you up. What did you try next? Did you have better luck?
I took fluoxetine for 4 days and right away it made my depression 10x worse and the thoughs weren't good, i stopped right away, 3 days have past and i still have anxiety and depression i dont know if i should try sertaline or a more natural way like cbd? Anyone have any experiences? Im also doing breathing exercises an ice bath every 2 days
At least you can still do some thi g! It will not last if you keep taking setraline. Inability, irritability, frustration. Soul and body in innihalation. For nobody knows how many years to come. Perhaps for life.

So sorry for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss.
I too deal everyday with several autoimmune diseases. I have the load of meds too. I'm now 56 but have dealt with it since I'm 25 after having a severe case of flu. I just never recovered. It's no joke to deal with autoimmune diseases.
@@redgingerbreadpam " It's no joke to deal with autoimmune diseases." Amen to that!
@@redgingerbreadpam 25! Yikes I've only had this for 10 years. It's called PBC, silly autoimmune system I wonder if they can be reset? LOL Take care.
Hey jo just a thought if you have Netflix or if not maybe on here somewhere have you watched game changer. It’s fascinating and probably right up your street given you love growing.
I love that docu!
Also what do you mean by you don't recognise yourself?
Not depressed but have anxiety and the physical symptoms that come with it... tight chest, discomfort in chest etc. Will this help?
I would say speak to your doctor first in all honesty, maybe they can advise you on the best
Treatment for your needs. I like many others suffered major side effects of taking such an SSRI and I wouldn’t recommend taking them unless you feel like you need them or you take the advice of your doctor.
I’m supposed to start tomorrow. Does anyone have an advice?
I have several videos on this subject
How have you gotten on?
@@sophiephantomhive6467 I stopped before getting too deep with it

Did everything return back to normal for you? I toom this for 2 days and won't be taking it again.
@@kathylyndsey316 The drug didn't have any long term effects on me after 3 days of use put it that way
@@liamc7097Thanks for getting back. Did you experience a low libido or emotional numbness whilst taking the pills?
I took fluoxetine for 4 days and right away it made my depression 10x worse and the thoughs weren't good, i stopped right away, 3 days have past and i still have anxiety and depression i dont know if i should try sertaline or a more natural way like cbd? Anyone have any experiences? Im also doing breathing exercises an ice bath every 2 days
At least you can still do some thi g! It will not last if you keep taking setraline. Inability, irritability, frustration. Soul and body in innihalation. For nobody knows how many years to come. Perhaps for life.
I think you will feel better if you take Zoloft with vyvanse
Not me me I’m afraid 😳
Do you experiance hair loss from Zoloft?
Yes you can experience hair loss from Zoloft.

I Would Advise Anyone Taking Certraline Not To Because I Cant Keep My Balance Properly After Taking It And I Have Nodding Head Like A Nodding Plastick Dog That You Would See In The Back Of A Car
Sertraline is overrated. Fluvoxamine underrated.
The made me feel like a robot numb no motivation and did nothing for anxiety
All the best mate.
My man, I feel the same like you. Day 9 and Im quitting this shit drug..
It’s terrible mate, let me know how you get on and message me if you need any help!
