I really admire Rose's emotional intelligence. It's tough as a parent to know how to speak with children who have just become adults. In the last video, I like that Rose spoke calmly with her nephew and gave constructive criticism, and then took action by going with him to get his hair done. She is such a kind and generous auntie and also is very diplomatic. She gave Wu tong many opportunities to express his opinion and make decisions without putting pressure on him or using judgemental language. It was clear to see him growing in confidence. So great. Leave him and his parents to work out their relationship. I have seen Uncles,,Aunties trying to take the place of parents and only alienating the kid further from his own parents. Even grandparents make this mistake. Rose should stay on the sidelines. She is not even his biological aunt. Just his aunt in law.

His haircut is looking nice. Could you take him for a manicure too? Rose is good at engaging with the boy, adults forget that they were also young before and it's a very difficult stage of life. Chat to Wu Tong at the dinner table about what interests him and all the things he likes and wants to do and school etc, and don't criticise too much and say when I was young etc. it makes the boy not want to talk. Take him out to places and show him how the camera people do things, it will broaden his interests and experience and make him feel good.
