  • 5 Minute Full Body Tennis Warm Up
    15 Exercises
    No Equipment Needed
    Let's go!!
    My last 5 minute warm up video has been popular so I thought I'd update it with a couple of different exercises! I use this before going on court. Save this video and follow along before each session (especially your first one back after lockdown!!
    As England gears up for a safe return of tennis, tennis players all over the Country are going be be desperate to hit balls. The problem is, we've all been in lockdown for 3 months and our body's are not as conditioned as they were before. Your warm up is crucial in ensuring that your first hit is not your last for a while!!
    Follow along with the easy 5 minute warm up to prepare your body for tennis. You don't need equipment or much space. You can adjust the timings and exercises to suit your needs... just don't go on court cold!!

    This looks like something I should be doing multiple times per day, like in between sitting work sessions. Top notch 👍🏻

      It’s definitely a great idea to get you up away from the desk for 5 mins! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

    Excellent subject, great way to both prevent injuries and also improve your game. So glad I found your site. I really like your one minute topics, very accessible. I’m looking forward to your presentation in Mehrban’s Tennis Summit 2021. Thanks from Florida!

    The lower-body movements are the best routine I've seen for a good pickleball warmup.

    Another awesome video coach! And so timely ... Ramadan is coming up for us in few weeks. I was thinking about a scaled-down tennis routine for my son to continue in this month. This sure will keep him going without tiring him too much. Thanks!

      Hi Ziaul, I’m so pleased that this could be a good option for your son during Ramadan. I would also suggest some coordination exercises to maintain and develop motor skills. They don’t need to be physically demanding... eg. learning to juggle, volleys against a wall on one leg. You can be really creative with these!

    Nice video I been having too many injuries and would like to try some of these exercises. I think at 3:14 you are doing it one time wrong, proven by that you do it different next times in the video. But thank you for the video

    • @TheTennisMentor
      @TheTennisMentor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do as many as you want, this is just a guide. In this video I do them for a certain time frame, you can choose an amount of reps if you’d prefer. You want to feel like you’ve worked, but not fatigued!
