We are very grateful for Tilly babysitting for us, especially considering the hot times! We had a fantastic time at the festival and thank you for your lovely comment about the costumes ☺️

Yummy harvest! I have been loving eating all the fresh food from my little raised beds. So far we have eaten corn on the cob, okra, watermelon and Lots of tomatoes! I can't even imagine leaving for a week! It's good that you have Tilly to keep an eye on things. More pics of the festival would be nice.

Tysm for watching. So glad you've been enjoying the fruits (and veg) of our labour! We'll certainly pop up a few more pictures via a community post once the event photographers have put them online :)

Another amazing vlog. I will tell you this, for someone who is new to allotments you are doing better than some of us older folk who have had plots for many years. You lot obviously have green thumbs!

Tysm, Jerry! That’s exceedingly kind of you to say. We’re certainly in love with the plot ☺️

Awesome costumes way cool and looked like fun 🤩. I think sometimes we pamper our plants more than they need 😂 because things have done really well in the allotment. Now if only the weeds would go on holiday and take the slugs with them. Fab update have a super day, and enjoy the amazing harvests, Ali ☔️🇨🇦

I agree with that. It certainly goes to show that we don't need to be over attentive and makes me realise we can let nature do it's thing without regular interference! Certainly makes me feel I can relax a little bit without pampering the green babies! Have a great week, Ali, and TY for watching :)

Lovely vlog and plot update. Everything growing strong and looking healthy. Your pumpkins are bigger than mine and I’m a little jealous haha

My spuds have just got blight. I've cut all the stems and hope. I'm in chudleigh, just over the hill

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Have you dug any up to see if the spuds themselves are infected?

@AllotmentFamilyDiary no not yet. leave in the ground for two weeks, and then dig out is the recommended option. If the leaves and stems are gone, more air and less spores on the ground, so hopefully reducing the risk. I expect there'll be quite a lot if small spuds as they needed another month really.
