7 out of 8 matches went to a deciding set, thats just amazing and shows how close the standard is. Anyone can beat anyone really. Price today after going 2-1 down just took it to another level, that was so impressive. Its gonna take a monumental effort for anyone to beat him if hes at his best.
wait why did Aspinal not shake Noppert's hand at the end? If the crowd are shouting during a throw Noppert has every right to complain. Poor sportsmanship by Aspinal displayed here

Super happy about Pricey winning, but the incident in the Noppert v Apsinall match; Noppert was obviously getting a bit annoyed by distractions in the crowd, and reacted to it, and Russ Bray basically telling them to shut up, *but I don't really like the way Aspinall reacted to Noppert, giving him the hand flick...*
*Apsinall could've been more sportsmanlike and gestured for the crowd to be quiet, like what James Wade did when Brenden Dolan hit the 9-darter in Dublin a while back...*
Aspinall also stopped and looked back at the crowd very annoyed earlier in the match. Seems a bit hypocritical of him.

Let’s be honest, the PDC don’t care that the crowd acts like animals time and time again. They want them to be drunk because it keeps them coming back. The PDC sacrificed a large part of what made them so great for money 10-12 years ago. Now they encourage the drinking culture and this is the result of it. Couldn’t pay me to go to a PDC event. 80% of the crowd don’t have a clue who the players are, they just want to get drunk.
I think this sets it back from become more than a ‘pub sport’ in the eyes of people.
It needs to take itself more seriously before others will.

Aspinall should be DSQ from the tournament. Literally shouting at the crowd and at Danny (during Danny's throw). Darts is all about respect and the crowd + the Asp just ruined that. I really feel for Danny, deserved the win

Well so far from what ive seen on TV, the crowd doesnt seem great. I live in Leicester and i will be going to the final to watch my first ever darts match live so im happy the event is here this year but if they move it, i cant really complain. I will enjoy myself this year and try to get the crowd going on Sunday 😉.
@dboy a lot more than one venue in Dublin. A lot better venues than the citywest too this is the PDC using the refugees as an excuse, too lazy to find a better venue in Dublin

That last match in the video had all sorts of weird things going on from the crowd being normal (as in being disrespectful with the whistling and such)… and mostly because of Aspinal’s comeback although Noppert could have won 2:0

This crowd does absolutely not deserve a Major... The first days of the tournament you had the feeling like it was played in a library, now they go back to their old habits and support against everyone who they don't like or are not English.
Last week, at the Euro Tour in Belgium, the crowd were amazing and it hurts me to see that those great crowds don't get a Major, but England gets all of them (despite being a rubbish crowd)
They are all professionals you would think they need to tune the noise out from the crowd. Even if it sucks they are being a bunch of tools
So if the crowd were shining laser pens at them your attitude would be the players should just get on with it and be professional?
@@jonnamechange6854 obviously that doesn’t go without saying. This is just in regards to the noise and loud banter. Maybe they should just get on with it if the crowd starts throwing beer bottles and cups on stage.

Hypocritical from Nathan then as he was the one that started it. Why can the Asp delay the game doing the same thing yet Danny can't? If anything Nathans was worse as he said something to Danny after he had went at the crowd. He shouldn't have said a word to Danny in my opinion that was bad form.
@@OTTOSO412 I’m just gonna waffle my thoughts from the incident.everyone in the comments thinks the crowd being loud was the problem when it wasn’t. it’s just aspinall was losing and he could hear noppert fans trolling him or something so then he started talking to the crowd. This wouldn’t usually happen as the crowds are usually loud enough that you can’t hear individual people but it was quiet as it has been all week. I don’t blame Nathan for talking back to the guys in the crowd and telling them to be louder so he couldn’t hear them but he should have started to talk to Danny. That was the problem. also Nathan could have ignored it and then this would have never happened. And noppert tbh avg 79 and missed match darts so he can’t really complain however he was clearly put off by aspinall.

I used to watch darts when Phil Taylor was dominant. Is there anyone nowadays anywhere near that good? I've been watching highlights recently but nobody seems anywhere his talent. Maybe I am missing out.

Why are all the majors being held in England it’s wrong and unfair we all know how ignorant and disgraceful the English are and that’s why nobody likes them and they have so many enemies. Not all the majors are but even then netherlands crowd were bad at the world series and the Premier league night and some of the German crowds at euro tour events are bad. I think Belgium should have the European championship held there like it used to in its 1st few years alot of the players liked it there at the Belgian darts open 2 weeks ago, Czech Republic and hungary were good as well so maybe more Eastern European countries should have events.
