That was a great Alaska adventure, but Michigan will welcome you back with open arms. Steelhead are waiting for you in the big Manistee. Enjoy those silvers. Fish on! Baby!
absolutely wild man, wow! You were definitely checking something else when bobber down happened at 16:32, lol that thing was drained forrrrevvvver,,,,,!
Hahaha!! I thought I heard something across the river and then in the next clip a bear cut through the gap. I didn’t notice it until I was editing because I was fighting the fish🤣🤣
Fellow Yooper living in Alaska, found your channel a couple weeks ago. Your Videos are wonderful Kyle! Really enjoy the UP ones, helps with my home sickness :)
Another great video, Nature, The Lord sure knocked it out the park! So amazing and the bears, I need to take fishing lesson from them.😊 be safe be blessed.
Its so nice to see your just one of the guys, doing real stuff i did 5 years ago. I hope i get out in wi the cohos not great last few years. But i cant do the creeks like that without worry and pain lol. But it would be nice to do some canning.
Love the videos. Living the life a lot of us dream about. Sad to hear you’re not running guided trips anymore. Some of the best west Michigan trips I’ve had have been out of one of your boats.
I was there with my dad, brother and my dad’s friend! When I was about 11 years old and my younger brother 10 years old bear hunting! I missed a Volkswagen bear across a bay! Trigger happy I guess! My dad’s friend and I was flown into a bay and dropped off the pilot said see you in a week and dropped my dad and brother in another covey float plane and said the same thing! My dad and brother both came back with bears! It took the pilot almost 2 weeks to come get us! It rained every day except the first day! Learning that the tide went out 50 feet or more in the middle of the night we had to move the tent into the forest! It was insane!
What a great video! I love the travel adventures and the longer format. I'm heading out tomorrow morning on the White river totally motivated by your adventure in Alaska.
Kyle I can’t contain my excitement for each and every one of your uploads! I look forward to the time you have your own show on outdoor channel! Much love and keep on keeping on ~ John
I know you like those centerpins but dang catching them on the spinners looks to be a lot more fun. You get to hear the drag scream. Have you ever thought about using salt water fly reels. You could back off the drag to let the floats drift, then apply the drag when you get the fish on. Just a thought you know your stuff for sure. I love how you show the struggle to find the fish. That really makes for an authentic video. Looking forward to seeing Ollie again!
Kyle I moved from Manistique to POW thirty years ago. Wish I knew you were coming! I use a Hoochie skirt on a Gamagatsu jig with a bobber and work it in the slow water and they hit it on the fall. In the hole where you landed your first one several years ago I landed and released 54 by 1:00 pm. My arm couldn't take any more. Back then there were no tourists and often had the hole to myself. Glad you don't give directions! I really miss the people and the year round variety of fish in the UP. By the way, there is no H in Wales.
Wow, thanks for the comment and grammar tip. I grew up in Manistique and lived there until I was 16. What a beautiful place POW is. I’m sure I’ll be back again and can’t wait. Best of luck this fall and your upcoming seasons!
Kyle commenting and focused on bringing in his fish while a black bear casually walks across in the background unnoticed until cut to the next scene. 😂
I just found your channel out last month, and I’ve already watched all yours videos man I love you content especially the steelhead fishing keep up the work
Kyle, I love all you shows, i watch them daily and can't wait to say hi someday to you and Oliver. What is a good time for someone to make the trek north and catch Coho from shore?
You should go to sawdust hole by tippy dam on the manistee the salmon run is crazy i went last week and got 12 keepers 6 snaged/ let go and 2 zombie fish
I always change my depths. Salmon will suspend a lot of times. Typically I’ll set my float until I start dragging bottom (you’ll know you are on bottom when the float leans sideways and constantly goes down while drifting). Once I find bottom, I’ll set it so it’s just off then go from there. It’s always a good idea to run shallow first though, maybe 2-4’ deep. Hope this helps👍
Ollie and I are now back on our Michigan adventures for the fall season. Hope you enjoy this one from AK🤙 Stay tuned!!
I've actually been missing Ollie's. "fish on baby" facial expressions.
I want to see a buck down this season lol.
We’ll be ready.
Hell ya, Kyle. Awesome adventure. Welcome home.
Going to use some silver salmon eggs as bait?
This is hands down the best outdoors channel going on TH-cam. 💯
Just found ur channel and binge watching ur vids and I love ur enthusiasm and excitement and Ollie is just the best dog 🐕
Y'all know the feeling....
Oh goodie, Kyle's got a new video up.

Awesome trip.
Majestic!!
Just started watching! Omgeezy! Awesome❤
I really enjoyed your Alaskan adventure!
The graphics on this are so much better than red dead redemption 2. I didn't even know that was possible.
Far northwest centerpin fisherman here from the Bering sea, currently use 3 different sizes for 15-20 lb Arctic char!
Great video as always! Glad to see I am not the only one who takes a swim from time to time😂😂
You’ll have that😅
@@AdventureChasing the most important part was that you kept on fishing!
Wish I was there wow amazing
Awesome episode! Loved it.
Like fishing with a best friend! Thank you…
Love the videos. Living the life a lot of us dream about. Sad to hear you’re not running guided trips anymore. Some of the best west Michigan trips I’ve had have been out of one of your boats.

Great adventure to explore Alaska during this late season.😊
It’s definitely a unique experience!
16:42 bear walks right by while you got a fish on 😂

Thank you! I’ll keep them coming👍
AK was very cool but ready for “Ollie up!” Hope you are out scaring the deer.
He’ll be back soon!
Reminds me of the Olympic Peninsula,
the Queets and Hoe rivers, in Washington State.
Silver/Coho love to hit the spinner, Alaska, Michigan, big hits!
They sure do!

It’s hard to beat a spinner bite!! The thought has crossed my mind over the years but have yet to try it. Ollie will be back soon👊
😊 I love fishing but I will not try fishing with bears.
God bless you for your fearlessness.
Great video - I'm jealous! You know you don't have to go all the way to Alaska to catch coho though, right? 😉
Thank you! We go for the adventure and experience as a whole🙂

Great video brother
Kyle it’s been a bit since I dropped a comment your videos are amazing …. Keep killin it ❤ 😊🔥
Best channel on you tube!
Love the videos bro keep it up!
You should go to the Hancock Houghton area
I'm surprised you kept so many fish there. It's not like you don't get all you want in MI.
Nice job!! I’ve spent many many days fishing the sawdust holes!
How was the cured skein for bait from those fish in Alaska? Dontou think its better bait than the eggs you cure locally?
Love the videos Kyle! What size hook are you running with the 20mm bead?
I need to see a lake huron adventure…
I’ll be back at some point!
Such an awesome video Kyle! Sending love and support from the home land, Michigan! What was your furthest hike to reach fishable water on this trip??
Thank you!! It’s hard to say but we put on quite a few miles each day!
Did the spider on your hat at 14:41 scare the crap out of you when you found it? LOL
I didn’t even realize it until I was editing🤣
When were you there? I was in Terrace had some big coho
Keep up the videos man i love watching them. We should fish together some time. I have a cabin in welston.
Nice
Another awesome video! How do you know how deep to set the float when float fishing for salmon?
I always change my depths. Salmon will suspend a lot of times. Typically I’ll set my float until I start dragging bottom (you’ll know you are on bottom when the float leans sideways and constantly goes down while drifting). Once I find bottom, I’ll set it so it’s just off then go from there. It’s always a good idea to run shallow first though, maybe 2-4’ deep. Hope this helps👍
🎣🎣
I understand you edit the videos short to get more people to watch them. But it's OK by me, if you create extended versions of each trip!❤
I’m glad to hear that🙂
❤
Great video, and sweet rental truck!
16:42 bear watching you fish😅
Sick em 😁
Silly question, but do the Alaskan fish taste different than Great Lakes (because of the saltwater)?
Honestly, not much of a difference in my opinion.
🎣 🎣 🎣 🎣 🎣
🤙🏼🎣🤙🏼🎣🤙🏼🎣🤙🏼🎣🤙🏼💯 MANTAP 💪🏼
Kyle whats it cost to ship the fish back? By the # or bulk rate ? another rockn video
We have it packed in fish boxes and take it back on the plane with us. Much cheaper that way!
What place did you stay?
Seals is god food🤗
What rod n reel you using
Okuma sst rod and a shimano stradic spinning reel I believe.
What are your top three salmonids for dinner?
