Deco and Hansi Flick are clear about the positions that need to be reinforced: a midfielder, a left winger and a defender. The priority for the pivot is Joshua Kimmich and if there is money, the chosen winger is Nico Williams. The club will only keep Cancelo and Joao Felix if their parent clubs accept the same loan terms as the current one. Both at Barcelona and in Gavi’s entourage, they see him as an ideal player to play in Hansi Flick’s double pivot in that deeper position. The player also sees it with good eyes. He likes to be more central, press, recover balls, distribute passes and move forward and track back quickly. Luiz Diaz isn’t necessarily a Barca style winger, but he certainly would suit us more than Raphihna has since he can dribble past a player 😂

It's strange to me how low you are on Frenkie at double pivot role. That's where he made the name for himself in Ajax with Donny van de Beek of all players, who is nowhere near as good footballer in defensive or attacking side of the game as Gavi is. Frenkie + Gavi or even Frenkie + Pedri if Gundogan (or Fermin) plays the 10 role as he might I think will work well. Especially with Gavi as Frenkie + Pedri might just not have enough legs on the duo.
Nico is still meh for me but i'll pay more attention to him and see how he does in Euros
