After being asked for it, I gave CBS Mornings all my raw footage from this day of diving and I'm disappointed a name drop for my work wasn't given. Great video, but I was kind of let down. I was so excited to share this to my family lol

Hi Jake, it's crummy they didn't acknowledge you for sure. Just keep in mind, there are over 13.1M people out here that know what a kind and amazing person you are. If they used your footage and did not credit you they are no better than thieves IMO. Thank you for all that you do!

The DuMont Network, which was one of the first American TV companies, reportedly dumped thousands of kinescopes in one of the rivers off NYC when they went out of business in 1956. Thousands of hours of priceless early television, including the first show featuring an Asian-American star, Anna May Wong, were lost. A pity this diving tech wasn't easily available back then.
There's a lot of cooler items under rivers than just old bones. People have always used rivers as garbage dumps, so you can find some really cool historical artifacts that are technically even more rare than mammoth tusks. One man's trash becomes another's treasure.
Youd need an excavator of some sort. If there are bones down there, probably not, they would be underneath decades of trash and other sediment. Like good freakn luck.
1.). Because it never happened 2.) It occurred over 60 years ago so the statutes of limitations has long passed so there are no punishments they could face 3.) There is no reason for them to toss them out considering it could’ve been sold
AMNH is closer to Hudson River. Maybe they're looking in the wrong place? Also, much richer treasure in East River off (or on?) Hunts Point in wreck of the Hussar.

For those who don't know, Byrd claimed to have discovered a green oasis in Antarctica, with an entrance leading to THE HOLLOW EARTH! [pounding drums] A great civilization dwells there, unconcerned with the affairs of the barbarians on the surface. Byrd was a respected (retired) military officer with a good career behind him. Nobody's sure why he did this. He did produce some photographs of a green area, but, you know, there are lots of green areas on Earth.

That must have done wonders for the environment!
i have an idea, let's go swimming in the east river. lol🤣🤣🤣🤣
I bet they found a lot of human bones too..................... ahem...
People seem to not realize they will be deep in the mud and sediments. We're talking 60+ years of overburden.
they found them.
They didn’t
I heard that live on JRE. I wish I could search for it
so gay
He was on Joe Rogan! I’m glad people are hunting for these tusks..

Way too cold for that. Even with proper gear. Where I am the wind chill is -20F today n that’s way warmer than it’s been…
How many Mammoths does it take before they put a fence up on that river?
How many?!
There's a lot of cooler items under rivers than just old bones. People have always used rivers as garbage dumps, so you can find some really cool historical artifacts that are technically even more rare than mammoth tusks. One man's trash becomes another's treasure.
It’s not old bones Lmfaoo clown
I have a map you can purchase to El dorado treasure if you’re interested. 🤡🤡🤡
There is submarine cables down there that are inspected regularly... So I'm pretty sure they would have been found already 🤷🏼♂️
A Hoffasaurus!
The bodies down there :0

Of course the museum wouldn’t admit to it. Who would make create a paper trail on illegal dumping.

Imagine how many coins u can find in that river im a land metal detector hope fully I can get a scubadive certification in the near future
They'll probably find some bones alright.
Woolly Mammoths didn’t live in that location.
Is pen station down there?

Oh yea, try diving under ice or cave diving, but yea that rivers a ten
What right do they have to dig on Native American land?
It's not their land any more lol.
It will always be our land
@@dakotaridgek9 nope
Who's digging?
Many bodies have been dumped in my beloved east river.
Well they said they were there on the Joe Rogan show so it must be true lol.
I wouldn't believe anything heard in that venue.
Maybe they'll help solve some NYPD cold cases while they're down there.
They weren't considered fossils then
Yes….yes they were. Mastodon bones were considered fossils there’s no reason mammoth fossils weren’t considered fossils in the 1940s
If they really did throw them away it was because they already had way too many... so even if they were found who would want them now?
They go for 80 grand a tusk lol
@@TylerShacklefordDurdenthat’s why it’s so hard to believe they’d just have dumped them, even back then. Ivory is ivory
@@PeachysMom yeah but it's the fact it's illegal that makes it so expensive today. Not so sure about back then.
