So yeah, I've got that campaign box and the Orks and Space Wolves sets on their way... 😜 One franchise that I'd love to see, and I'm kinda surprised it's still never happened considering their relationship with Hasbro, is Transformers...
@@reihidezero True. I bought all the cards as a set from someone getting out of the game. If I recall correctly I even bought a bunch of Uncanny X-men I didn’t need just to get AvX because he wanted to sell everything and the bundle price was worth it. That set was in short supply even when released. You definitely can find it but it is buried in board game collections.
I seen the dc and marvel sets at my dollarama for 1$ a pack just wondering if it’s worth buying and playing , I don’t like super hero’s , I’d love the dnd set

Nah, that's always been how it works. As long as you have one energy of the right type, you can buy the die. (Unless it was as you described right back in AvX, which I don't have; but I have several older rulesets, and always been that way to my knowledge.)
I'd like to start but the sheer amount of cards/dices to get after these years puts me off. I want old characters from the x-men or the batman boosters :(
You forgot to mention that for people starting out the campaign boxes solely don't provide enough dice, right? Also a lot of new cards are just nerfed older ones and for completionists how are uncommon and rares handled now? Booster packs? I got Avengers vs. X-Men as a bundle back then and sorta lost contact... Glad to get back into;o)
Nah, campaign boxes have enough dice for play! They don't contain max dice, but you often don't need max dice in a game as you generally don't end up buying 4 of a character.
@@DMArmada Thx for the reply! You're prob. more well versed with DM. I just bought the first set fully when it was still collectible (hence the rare/uncommons). Now it's an LDG (Living Dice Game?). But I disagree... Being able to buy multiple dice is crucial to midigating drawing probability in a bag builder (that's why I prefer Mage Wars over MtG). And just getting 1 of max. 2 in DC Justice f.e. makes things even worse. Forces people to buy multiple Core Games (like with the Boosters before), ending up with extras. And where is the "Campaign"? No missions/story ark, just brawling. Which I enjoy, but seems to get samey. But don't get me wrong DM is still one of my favourite bag builder. (Next to The Duke, Quarriors, QoQ, Hyperborea and Puzzle Strike.) Also like mixing factions (Heroscapes my alltime fav.). WWE I don't care for (though I loved GLOW). It's complicated!;o)
@@eckoschreiber of course there are corner cases (the Justice campaign box had two one ofs that seemed really lacking), but for the vast majority of characters, you will only ever need 3 or less. You can almost never buy max 4 dice for a 5+ cost character, nor should you. You're right, buying dice is a way to mitigate bad pulls/rolls, but filtering out sidekicks is a better way to do it. Clogging your bag with four purchased dice for each character on your team gives you a better chance of pulling any of those dice, but doesn't necessarily get you to winning the game.

Expecially new players this video seemes to be geared towards might not be as competitive and get disappointed by the limitations (trying to create 2 8c/20d teams from one box)... Sidekicks are also energy source for purchases. (I'm pers. not into min-maxing and would rather draft more Gambits and Nightcrawlers, 'cause I like 'em.) And with all the (well deserved) praise, I feel that could have been at least mentioned, just saying.

I have a big favor to ask....can you please do a flash team video if your able. I watched all of your team building vids but notice you never ever talked about the green arrow and the flash set. Maybe it was bad or your just not a dc guy, it's cool if your not. But I would love to see a good flash team because he is my favorite. And I wanna see if that blue lantern flash is really the best flash in the game. Thanks in advance

The first set, Avengers vs X-men, was released April 23rd, 2014.
That one is extremely hard to get trust me I been trying I have all of the sets of Marvel and DC Comics but not much of Avengers vs X-men

No, no. But there is a very healthy on-line community. You’ll need some physical cards and dice and a webcam (phones work).
I found a DnD dicemasters for $5 at an opshop. Haven't been able to figure it out yet.

Wait when did it change from all energy has to be the same to only 1 has to be that energy type?
Nah, that's always been how it works. As long as you have one energy of the right type, you can buy the die. (Unless it was as you described right back in AvX, which I don't have; but I have several older rulesets, and always been that way to my knowledge.)
