Forest were all over us last night and that's with arguably our full strength side, I reckon Spurs could give us a reality check this Sunday if there's not massive improvement.
I think we will continue to play up to the better teams and down to the lesser ones. Seems to be the pattern. That doesn't mean I'm confident for Sunday though!
I was the optimist in the chat, haha. I think we definitely played better than we did against Bournemouth, but I stand by my point about it being a tough watch at times. Glad we're through, but it feels like we still haven't quite clicked into gear yet. Hopefully we get there soon though! Tonali looked class, so maybe he can be the catalyst.
Was better than Bournemouth but that was Forest's 2nd XI really so I'm still a bit worried the side aren't firing but with the results ok so far just fingers crossed
We’re under pressure so easily without them trying burn Kraft pope tino aren’t good enough on the ball you need someone calm in there . Hall looks so light weight and loses the ball often as well. Schar back should help but need botman back the difference he makes is ridiculous
I enjoyed watching tonali his passing was fast and direct kept it simple when needed but not afraid of a forward pass so really pleased for him, as a collective performance, room for improvement like you guys say I think its about getting up to that intensity we want to play at the drop of in energy was noticeable but we still stuck it out and managed the game well during periods under pressure, very optimistic we will improve game by game, lets get that complete performance against spurs and I'm sure the feel good factor will gather momentum. enjoyed the podcast as always :)
My view is that Willock is our only midfielder who can run at pace with the ball at his feet. We witnessed this in the short time he was on the pitch, the minute he went off injured we looked pedestrian.
We got a good burst of what he CAN do but more often than not he disappears as well and now looks to have long standing injury issues to boot. He's not the answer as much as we might like the lad.
@@jdevlin1910 Agree 100% love the lad but his injuries will create doubts about his future as his strengths are now comprised. My point was more to do with the balance in our midfield , we need someone with Willocks qualities, namely, directness and speed.
I'm glad we're through obviously but during that middle third of the game from willock going off to maybe 5 minutes after our substitutions came on. For me it looked like we really struggled. We couldn't string more than 3 passes together due to forests pressing and poor passing. Same issues we had against Bournemouth and Southampton. I'm really worried for when we play an arsenal or someone like that
The last three games have demonstrated that the squad needs to be strengthened but, unbelievably, it looks like that NUFC could well be weaker than last season! As Alan Shearer has said, serious questions need to be asked of Darren Eales and Paul Mitchell who have sorely let Eddie Howe down. When every other club has been strengthening, those two clowns have done next to nothing.😡
We will get rolled up and smoked by a half decent team. It was actually incredible to see a professional team give the ball away so quickly and repetitively trying to play the hollywood pass that was never on.
Regarding the slow start, how much has going on tours overseas affected the pre-season training? They're great for public relations, but it's clear Eddie hates the impact on preparations.
No need to panic, We have 4 points from 2 games in the PL, we've scraped through in the cup, and I think it's just taking a bit of time for some players to get up to speed but it will come and the performances will come. HWTL
The real issue is that we miss a true ball playing defender. Everytime burn or krafth got the ball it was slow and predictable. Krafth especially had so much grass in front of him yet never drove forward making it easier to press us. Secondly Barnes at right wing was good. Please stick with it Eddie if we arent getting a new right winger
I don't really worry too much about Krafth cos he's just filling a need at the moment, he's not who we want there longer term. Same really with Burn. Concerned if we can't strengthen there before the window closes though.
Cant stand some fans! Do you honestly think this man who cleared a bigger squad of players in Monaco & has contacts all over Europe is unable to release/recruit players?! It's challenging to balance PSR & Eddie...we finally got a renowned Sporting Director so let him work, he's been barely here for 6 months!
Guehi isn't worth what Palace are asking for, and there just isn't a right winger available that will also improve our squad and is affordable within the constraints of PSR.
Decent performance. We are missing our first choice centre backs don’t forget, that’s a BIG minus. We did well, tonali had some brilliant involvement, but isak didn’t have much of a sniff for most of the game, we must get him more involved.

Full strength side with Krafth at CB and Almiron on the wing 😂
Yawn

Yeah I did try to frame the question that way because I agree with you

We were playing Forest that had made 10 changes not Barcelona, without some new signings we are going to really struggle and remain outside of Europe.
Yawn yawn yawn

We will suffer this season for not replacing Miggy Wilson Longstaff etc we shud of shoved them out the door
Good to see Sandro Tonali out there. He looks Sharp!! Let's go Sandro!!

Just keep clapping along lad honk honk
1:43 complete. You do mean half decent! The lads have not gone past 3rd gear !
astronauts playing head tennis on space station after finding football following notts forest penalty shootout last night
I said myself that Forest were better with their ‘worse’ players on the pitch
We will only need 21 mins of intensity at home to spurs :)
Buzzing someone was listening to talk sport last night

something is not quite right, hopefully a big signing may help
We aren't signing anyone if the Guehi deals off.
I still think the Guehi deal will happen, however I think we should have walked after the second bid was rejected.

@@PhilPha Nah, Parish now wants 75m. And they had one of their new defenders do a knee Tuesday. He won't sell.
Thought we got West Ham next round not Wimbledon
