Great Video Malke! I always had a question about the J1 research to J1 clinical transition. I was especially happy when you asked a question to clarify the waiver process. Thanks for the Video :)
Planning for retirement, or even financial freedom, is a marathon and not a race, as the saying goes. Breaking your financial independence goals into small pieces can help you stay on track while making the process a little more manageable and hopefully a little less stressful. Even if you are starting small, the important thing is to start. Investing is important. Everyone needs it so you don't go bankrupt when you stop working
Yeah that's true and investment creates a safe haven for the future, It's rare these days to get a profitable source to invest it. Is Sherman Williams Trading that good?
On a scale of 1-10, I'll give Sherman Williams Trading a 9 simply because no one is perfect when it comes to trading, but when it comes to making a profit...Trust me when I say that it can surprise you when you don't expect it
Yes you are right, no one is perfect in the trading zone but still making good profit from it, I think I'll like to give Sherman Williams Trading a trial and see how it goes. I love creating multiple source of income because it never funny at the end when you depend on one source of income especially when you are retired.
Hello Dr Malke, Can your provide some information about the legal status of Externships (hands on experience) for International Medical Graduates under the B1/B2 Visa since there is conflicting information about it ? Thank You
Hello Dr Malke, is it possible to provide some information about B1/B2 visa for short observerships in US for IMG's? I was recently denied this type of visa for this purpose. Visa officer said that I need to find another type of visa for this. However, it is not clear what kind of visa it could be. And this is even more weird since I know colleagues (also IMG's) who have been approved B1/B2 visa for this purpose. Thank You
Great video as usual Malke! I recently read somewhere that spouses of H1B holders can now get employment authorization and work in the US on H4 visas. Will they be able to do their residencies on this H4 visa?
Dr. Malki, lawyer Nevin said in the video the allowed limit That you are in residency training is seven years for example if I did two years of research does it take from seven years or what because of this point I did not understand it
one question is is it totally upto the program to sponsor whichever visa they deem fit(for program that sponsor all 3 F1 H1 and J1) ? or is it based on something my cousin works on a J1 but my brother works on a H1
Hi! Thanks for this video. Could you please ask her for some more information on E3 visa (for Australian citizens) if you ever ask her back for another video?
I know many residency programs won't consider h1b applicants. And i know that IMG physicians who've completed their training in the USA are h1b cap exempt, provided they work in a non profit research/university or a at a setting which is affiliated to a university. I wanted to know that if i apply for an h1b before starting my residency (instead of the more common j1), will i be subjected to the h1b cap? Even if i match into a university that accepts h1b applicants is there a possibility i won't be able to practice since there's too many H1B holders? And what if i match into a community program, will i be subjected to the h1b cap? And would getting an h1b for a residency depend on my country also?
Great video, Do I need to visit any other countries before applying for usa visa for better chances of getting visa? Because I didn’t visit any other country . Not possible for me now. Any other suggestions to get visa in first attempt please….
Thank you for this very informative video Dr. Malke! Although I have one question. Does US embassy issue J1 to green card applicant if get matched or they usually reject the application? TIA
After getting a J1 Visa.. after 1 year of residence we have to go back to home country residence for 2 years.. so after completing those 2 years do we have to apply for new visa? And if yes then which visa?.. and can we go to the same hospital to continue our residence from 2nd year ?? I am curious about it hope you help me out
About the waiver, if we want to enter academic medicine, say in oncology, in the future, won't working a waiver job in a primary care facility for 3 years make me less marketable for academia afterwards?
Hi @malke Assad very interesting conversation, had a question so if i already have an H1B visa from my masters course and work will that be applicable and transferred once I receive my residency spot . Thanks
If someone is on j1 research and he get matched, should he change his status from j1 research to j1 clinical or request directly a new j1 clinical through ecfmg? Plzz answer anyone
If I have a 2 year requirement for a J1 scholar visa , can I apply (not transfer) to a J1 alien physician visa for residency before the 2 year requirements are fulfilled? Plssss help !!!
Hi sir Great video, If you don’t mind please let me know whether is it mandatory to visit any other other countries ( for better experience in abroad)before applying for USA visa to get visa in first attempt? Because I willing to do electives and medical masters in USA after MBBS from Indian medical college. Which type of visa I need to apply if I’m willing to settle in USA ? Please let me know.
Hi Malke, great video as always! Just a quick question that has been daunting me for a while. What if you are doing residency at a top program but on a J1 and then you apply for a fellowship at another top institution: will your chances to match inferior because they know that they will not be able to hire you at the end of the fellowship due to the 2 year rule? In other words, is a very good program on H1b visa better than an excellent program on a J1 visa in terms of securing an excellent fellowship after? Thank you in advance for your opinion. Best
Hi Malke. Great videos. Pls one question: as an IMG if I come for fellowship under j1 visa (ive done non US residency). Can i stay in USA after? Thank you
@@MalkeAsaad ok thank you. I have one question which is irrelevant to this video, how many times an IMG is allowed to take step 1 exam in this current system that is after January 26 2022? Will that effect during match??
