I do with the background music wasn't so loud... my old lady ears had a hard time hearing everything they were saying. I am wondering if they can replace the single pane with double panes? Maybe the old sashes aren't deep enough for that?
I would recommend an unfitted (free standing) kitchen to keep the windows. You'd be surprised how wonderful an unfitted kitchen is. I'm attaching a link to Farmhouse Vernacular's latest video on designing one. th-cam.com/video/9VbJJELSd_E/w-d-xo.html
I can't wait to show you all the design episode we just filmed. Although the family isn't going with a total free standing kitchen I think it is a nice blend between the two.
Agreed, unfitted are hands down the best design for historical houses, keeping the full length windows is important not only for interior lighting, but also exterior aesthetic reasons..
I was going to say the same thing. A modern fitted kitchen would not look right. If you must have a countertop, work around the existing architecture. Keep the window in the kitchen.
We hear you, we're working on production value. This was edited in a day, shooting on Thursday evening and delivering the product by Friday evening, so production is tight and we get levels wrong sometimes. It's TH-cam, watch with that in mind and please be gentle on our over-worked barely paid production team! Appreciate your feedback though.
What a great improvement the windows will be!! Looking forward to seeing the results!
Thank you Stacey! We will actually be releasing an update on the windows soon!
I can’t wait to see some progress after the planning.
Absolutely! We will be releasing the 3D Digital Design Episode, the Project Planning Episode, and some updates soon!

We had a learning curve on the audio. Sorry. We're getting better at that. We've opted for dark storm windows on the outside.

Agree, that home does not need a built in kitchen.

I would love to know more on the unfitted kitchens, how does it work in your homes?

You gotta kill that background music. It's very distracting from the conversations in the videos.
