Well Ryan, I have the Sony 35mm f/1.8 Lens already, so with that being said I was partial to the 45mm just because of the extra reach and being different to the other lens I own. However, when it came to taking photos in the real world, the 35mm was easier for the food style stuff, but the 45mm was better for the street/ portrait style shots I like. Really hard to say honestly because they are both great. If I had to pick one it would be the 45mm, because I have a 35mm and a 55mm lens already... I hope that helps and checking out all the sample photos in both reviews should also help ;) Jay
@@Jason_Hermann Thank you. I just purchased the 45mm. All things equal in quality, the 45mm is closest to a human eye, and completely unlike any other focal length I am likely to buy from Sony. This will be my first non-native lens, and I figure the Sony 35mm 1.8 would be "better" for a 35mm, but nobody has a 45mm like this.
Amazing review! Not sure why this video doesn't have the views it deserves!
good to see you back brother. thanks for all your videos and information this year. massive help to me . God bless.
You are very welcome Denny and thank you for the kind words :)
Great review. Wide open this lens is a beast.
How would you summarize the 45 vs the 35? I am torn between the two.

@Jason Hermann It does help. The one question remains, is one better or worse quality in regard to sharpness or bokeh?
Not really no and it's also subjective so best you look at the sample photos and decide. They are both awesome!
