When seeing Ajanta Caves, visit Ellora as well. Ellora is one of the most incredible sights I've seen in all my travels, and I've been to 34 countries. It is a several kilometers long series of cave temples, the central temple is an architectural masterpiece unparalleled anywhere on earth. Aurangabad, the city where Ellora is located (also near Ajanta) is a very interesting place. It features many colorful markets, a Taj-Mahal-like tomb, a fortress featuring a rock hewn moat, and other architectural wonders.
Notice how they never mention that. Bet you most these ppl in the comments are the same ones spamming hate about Indians and India too. Proof their opinions never should be worth anything

It is amazing what the earth, as well as humanity, can create and has to offer. I would like to visit all those places. Amazing! Adding these wonders to my bucket list.
Angel falls!! My earliest memory of desperately wanting to travel comes from an episode of Globe trekker of TLC some 20 years ago where they covered Angel falls. I still recall being awestruck and just glued to the TV. I might cry when I actually do get there! Making my way, will get there eventually!!
I've always wanted to travel to every country in the world, but a few have definitely risen up on my "Must visit" list after seeing these beautiful sights
The Angel Falls is THE single most astonishing places I've ever been to. It makes you want to cry when you see it, and getting there is even more amazing, tabletop mountains millions of years old in one of the most remote places on earth. There is truly nothing like it.
Other unappreciated wonders that Australia boasts: The Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains; K'gari (Fraser Island) off the Queensland coast; The Twelve Apostles off the Victoria coast; Bungle Bungle Range in the Kimberley; Kakadu in the Northern Territory; Lake Hillier on Middle Island; The Pinnacles in Western Australia; Kata Tjuta near Uluru; Devil's Marbles in the Northern Territory; Wineglass Bay in Tasmania; Noosa Everglades in Queensland; Horizontal Falls in Western Australia; Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre) in South Australia; Wolfe Creek Crater in Western Australia; Maria Island off Tasmania; and Table Top Mountain in Queensland.
It is amazing what The Earth, as well as humanity, can create and has to offer. Sadly, however, so much of these wonders get taken for granted and are eventually forgotten about.
Ha, from Australia…it was Star Wars that made me want to go and visit Tikal (and a desire to see the new world pyramids after visiting Egypt). Tikal was amazing. Walking through the rain forest in a heavy tropical down pour to find a massive stone structure….felt like Indiana Jones! Even got to sit at the spot overlooking the trees where the iconic shot in Star Wars was taken. Apocalypto was also filmed in the area.

Meenakshi Amman Temple took several centuries and 2 dynasties to build. Inside there are many pillars made of Granite having carvings on two and some even three sides It is a complex structure to understand. It took me 3 years and several visits to get a decent idea. Still there is more to explore. The temple is being destroyed by local encroachers
Have to agree with Cameron Highlands in Malaysia with its tea terraces. Getting to the top is also an experience stopping along the way and meeting locals
