well it's that time of year again when i turn my church caretaker hat around and become Mr Doug the woodworking teacher for the kids Daycamp.This is a fun little project that can be taken as far as you like from simple to complex but the end result will make you smile either way -hope you lke it - บันเทิง

Hey Doug, glad to see there's still a little boy in there. I'm 62, gonna make a couple of these guys for my step grand kids. I might even have a good play myself. Of course they have to be Woodsman Dougs.

What a Great way to get the youth of your church interested in crafting there is a lesson in there somewhere, our God will bring it to light Doug. You are not only becoming a master carver but you are mastering the fast forward. So many out there butcher it up, your doing fine Doug. You might want to be a little conservative with the string, you don't seem to have much. Your having too much fun!! Nice to still have kid in you isn't it? I'd do a large ape, something like King Kong for myself. I'd do a logger for my brother with a little chainsaw or an axe hanging below him. Maybe an arborist with a pruning saw for my other brother. I just found your channel. Fantastic! Diverse subjects and you are a role model. My hats off to you.

Just made this for my 3 yr old grandson... didn’t come out as good as I wanted but he loves it. He’s not great at making him climb so he gets a kick just swinging him back and forth.
Did you ever think about making puzzles? Lots of fun. You know, get the ring or string off or get it to the other side - there are many types of puzzles.

Doug your something else and mean that in nothing but the best of ways!! Admire you for what you do for the young people, do know the amount of work it takes, as I was a Scout Master for a few years till health killed that dead in its tracks. Please keep doing what you are doing as it is appreciated by us all.

Great craft Doug! I am a councellor at a week long Boy's camp north of Peterborough and just forwarded this video link the "craft lady" who organizes a week's worth of stuff to do for 80-100 boys. We may not be able to get them to cut the shapes, but they can be cut ahead of time so the boys just get to creatively make their own unique climber. Awesome. Thanks for sharing this good sir!

Great job Doug !!! Had a janitor at my church when I was a Scout and he had carving classes after school every Friday to make neckerchief slides.. Great memories of him and that's what your doing-building great memories. Well done !!!!

I was just looking for a description and picture of this kind of traditional climbing toy to illustrate a point about "ratcheting" and this video is something else. I am impressed at the care Doug puts into the details. I wonder if any of the kids at Daycamp can come close. I also hope they are well-supervised if they use those power tools (or do they use only hand tools?).
