He crying over his son scoring as he should but he got traded not died, Kmart was ODn reacting to son getting traded, wow he’s not in LA, he’s in Philly, Kmart a hundred millionaire & used to traveling not a big deal for him, plus his son dotn get PT neways, wish he stayed in Houston !.. but respect for Kmart love & passion, compassion, admiration for his son
@@ocxcalhoun3190 okay .. I didn’t kno based off your comment .. .. the way you said it made it seem like McCants didn’t kno what he talkin about.. So I figured I explain how trash talk work … 🤷🏾♂️
Kenyon always been my guy but to see you just as passionate for you buck make me fuck wit you even more and after the sport. Salute to a real one KJ will be fine he cut different
To me Gil is the most dangerous scoring point guard to ever play the game. As fast as Westbrook or fox, hes 6’4 like Jamal Murray, dame time range, Dwight Howard shoulders on a guard, with Harden handle and kobe killer mentality. Ive never seen anyone give him any type of trouble on defense. Steph can shoot but not athletic, Dame can do everything but hes small in stature, Westbrook cant shoot, Gil combines all of them on offense with kobe or lebron understanding of the game, hes a geniuses on offense…he just doesnt pass or play defense
That first clip rocked me, but only because Josiah said Rob Parker and Chris Broussard have a podcast. Bro who the fuckkkkk is listening to that?! I can handle Broussard once a year for a few minutes, but drill a hole into both sides of my head and have 'em meet in the middle, and that's what it's like listening to Rob Parker
Gill is cooking 🧑🍳 🍳 🥘 Happy to hear him calling out those old heads. They didn’t even play real basketball never played anything on pro level. But want to judge those who played and trained to the highest level wtf. Bousard Steven A & Wilbur 🤫🤫🤫
Stars on the 80s Pistons sacrificed personal stats and accolades for the good of the team. The Piston's played team basketball. That's why they went to the Finals 3 years in a row. They went to the Eastern Conference Finals 7 years in a row. Zeke's career was cut short due to injuries. His wrist was destroyed after the 91-92 season. Prime Zeke vs. Prime Stockton? No contest. Zeke embarrassed Stockton multiple times and that's why Malone got angry and elbowed Zeke on his forehead.
1:28:58 funny seeing McCants push Brandon to actually explain his point on this KD/Melo argument way back when and he was just doing the same the other day. My gripe with Brandon is that he’s always saying shit without any real insight or breakdown. Glad to see someone pushing him to go beyond the surface
And Brandon’s strategy is just to throw out names and ask “is such and such better than him?” just to get you locked into something not respecting that there’s nuance
I just remembered this episode but this was one of the only times I can remember when I felt like Gil was on some 🦬💩. Ain't no way Isaiah Thomas is overrated. 95 % of the time I can rock with Gil over Rashod and BJ but he was bugging on that one. J Kidd is my favorite all time PG though. If I have to choose one all time I'm going with him most definitely.
Lebron did change the game by setting the trend of having a 6'8 6'9 forward who could handle the ball, score, high flyer and make plays for the offense. Teams started to let forwards like Lebron run the offense because of the mismatch it caused having a point guard as a defender. Think about all of the ppl who teams thought they could copy Lebron's build. remember Josh Smith? Rudy Gay? Blake Griffin? Paul george? Danny granger? Kevin Durant? All Forwards over 6'8 that could make plays and were the leaders of their teams or one of the leaders. Lebron did change the game on top of all the rule changes.
PG. Kyrie Irving Or Ja Morant , De’Aaron Fox SG. Stephen C , Donovan Mitchell or Anthony E SF. Lebron , Paul G or Jason T PF.Anthony Davis , Kevin Durant C. Bam and Miles turner and Deandre Ayton
The conversation about father and son NBA players made the think about how we really don't know Lebron's basketball tree . It seems like Lebron was a prodigy to me. Lot of great players have great mentors.
i agree with you but i do think the "playing hurt leads to injuries" argument holds water but obviously this situation didnt have anything to do with this injury but i def think it could have made it worse. the 65 game rule is good its wild if hm they miss. i think the only way you can explain it in non-basketball example is if you bought a ticket to your favorite musician and they just didnt show. if i miss work that much sick injured whatever. not saying the embiid situation isnt valid time off injuries are different but resting was getting insane
To keep it in perspective...im sure the decline of the number of players being drafted was more of a result of players being paid 10x more than the salary of the 70s and 80s
Gil 131:08 Did T mac post up much?? Questioning his 5 levels of scoring. Then at 1:35:40 saying Tmac was all 5 all confident. I'm surprised they didn't catch that. 😂😂😂
30:31 arguably the greatest moment in this shows history. Gil is iconic
Realist podcast out there about NBA🔥🔥
Only reason I watch it
Kenyon having that real moment about his son getting traded, then it pans to Mario and average Joe 😂😂😂
Really one of the best moments 🤣

@@josheasy6716they seem close though and he probably can’t just up and move to Philly. And he wants his son to be happy so I get it.

Well damn. K-Mart just used the same line. lol
I love how Gil debunks all these old head notions
I like the way McCants talks trash, thats the kinda guy I want on my team 👍
And in 2-4 years he’ll be in Europe or Lebanon…..dude wasn’t nearly as good a pro as he acts like he was haha. Lots of revisionist history
I watch this whole thing at least once twice a week 😂😂😂
Gil spitting facts saying anyone from pre 90s could get drafted. my neighbor was drafted 5th round but decided to become a cop instead 💀

so many good players today and even kobe, had dads that played in the nba
Man y'all went through all that I wouldn't have made it I would have knocked on me if them coaches out real talk
Also keep in mind in 1980 there were only 22 teams .. saying that bill lambier went in 3rd round and wouldnt be drafted in 2nd is just wrong
Gilbert what shooting guard in the 80's was better than Jordan? What 2 guard had a better resume than Jordan in the 80's?
Nobody did ...Gil is just a hater
What good shooting guards were around in the 80’s…..or early 90’s ?

They on marijuana now.
He really doesn't care if they know he snitchin
Ask Ray Allen who he was emulating with his shot
To keep it in perspective...im sure the decline of the number of players being drafted was more of a result of players being paid 10x more than the salary of the 70s and 80s
