I borrowed a Uke from a neighbor, just to see if I'd like it. I want to serenade myself when singing songs for my grandson. You make it fun to learn. Your tutorials are the clearest and the easiest to follow. Thanks a bunch for your commitment to good teaching.
Good stuff. Very helpful and easy to follow. Your verbal instructions, the chords and picking charts, plus the very clear finger placement images are perfect.
Thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial. I have always loved this song and now being able to play it on the uke makes it even better. I love your easy teaching style and thanks to you showing me the basics am now experimenting around with the picking.
Thanks for uploading this tutorial Chili. I started playing the Uke back in December 2016. I started off on a very cheap, but much loved soprano. Once I got the hang of it and got decent with chords/strumming patterns, I bought myself an electric stratocaster tenor Uke. I have always wanted to add picking to my "inventory", even more so since going electric. Excellent video, explains it all so simply yet opens up a whole new world of playing to me. Many thanks dude....keep up the good work.
Hello! I love your lessons. I have been learning so much from it. Do you have a video all about finger picking only? And how to read the tabs for fingerpicking.
Top lesson as always. Thanks chili monster, getting there now, still trying to remember all of the minor chords. It's going well though. Thanks again 👍👍
I am still practicing Dave, it's lot's of fun, but still quite difficult. Thanks for good lessons. I've just stared to use picks, not sure if it's good idea, but makes strumming easier.
Hi - currently only this beginner lesson for finger picking. There is a lesson for reading uke tabs - look on my lessons playlist for lesson 8 - hopefully more to come on both subjects soonish ...
Hi Chili, If I may ask, what brand of ukulele are you using? I am wanting to learn to play and I'm not sure what brand I should start with. I don't want to buy cheap, but don't want to buy the most expensive either. By the way, you're very talented. :) Sounds very nice!
Hi Virginia the ukulele I used in this video is a Brunswick BU 4C concert size, which you can get in UK for around £60. I'm currently using a Cloud Music SS12, also a concert size and I find this to be an extremely good uke for a reasonable price - take a look here www.shroprock.co.uk/CloudMusicUkuleles.html for more info
