In other TH-cam channels, some said that titanium nibs will damage the pen over time. Did you have such experience?

I only used mine with the special film, so I didn't have any issues. But I pretty much stopped using it after just a bit of use as well, as I just didn't like the feel in the end.

Thank you for the video! I have a few questions about it, if you wouldn't mind. Does both the Tab Ultra C and Mini C come without pre applied films from factory (i.e: can you apply the Doodroo protector directly on the screen)?
Are you supposed to replace the Doodroo protector after some time? Does the Titanium nib eat the protector?

I'm not sure if there is a pre-applied film on the Boox devices. I want to say no, but just aren't 100% sure. Regardless, I applied the Doodroo without removing anything and it seems to be fine. In terms of replacing the screen, I'm not sure about that either. But I don't sense that the nib is putting wear on the film. However, I also don't put a lot of pressure on my stylus.

Have you tried using a titanium tip with the factory applied surface on the Bigme Inknote Color + ? I wonder if it is possible to use this combination without damaging the factory textured surface on the Bigme. The standard Bigme tips seem to somewhat dampen the textured feel of their surface layer.

I haven't. The Bigme film seems pretty thin to me, I can't imagine it would work well with a titanium nib. On the other hand, I did see a post in Reddit where someone said they used a titanium nib without any special films and didn't have any problems with it. I wonder if that has to do with the kind of pressure that person put on the stylus. Maybe titanium nibs aren't a problem if you have a light touch. That's just speculation on my part. I just don't care for the harshness of the titanium nib myself, I'm good with a good 'ol plastic nib that I rarely have to change.

Unfortunately, nowhere in the video is it pointed out that each additional layer degrades the image quality.
It's not worth it to me anyway, so I'm sticking with the standard surface and nibs

That's a fair point in general. Specific to this application, I didn't really notice any degradation, although I'm not as sensitive to that as other folks may be.

I've already tried it a few times with foil, the last time with InkPalm5. This degraded the picture quality for me so much that I even preferred its glossy screen.

@@jeffreymoss But you get more glare, see it in your video, so no thanks, not worth it. Staying with the standard nibs

Would the titanium nib scratch the Tab Ultra C screen without the film?

Terrible, the screen has more glare. Would not use these nibs at all

After filming this, I took the screen off and haven't used titanium nibs since.
