When I saw her perform at the Met Opera LIVE she was FANTASTIC. BRAVA! The videos do not do her justice BUT these bring back GREAT MEMORIES:)))

omg i JUST got bak from Don Pasquale at the met... omg i thought i was gonna cry when it reached act 1 scene 2... i just adore Anna Netrebko. shes very funny, and has a great voice. i mean i only c her on russian tv and i need to run downstairs to see her there... when i got in the car i was listening to her cover of the song "La Voix" with Fillip Kirkorov, and i just wanted to burst out in tears i couldnt believe i saw her

Saw Don Pasquale at the Met last night and just loved loved loved seeing Netrebko on stage!

Very attractive
She is beautiful. Has an electrofying stage presence unmatched by any singer in the world. Probably the sexiest woman alive and sings like a Goddess. She is a Superwoman! I vote for her as Queen of the world.

Well...this Db at 3:23 is not the best that Anna did: in fact it's a little bit "strained" and flat (at the end of the day more strained than flat) . However, the Db is there and it is absolutely appropriate, taking in account that the whole aria is performed LIVE with a sense of taste and musical clarity never heard before. Do you want I suggest you a collection of really ruinous and documented "stecche" from great stars? You are welcome...LOL!
Boys...I'm just wondering where we are going...all the great opera stars did and do bad mistakes, sometimes really ruinous. Now a total jackass comes here to argue about a Db not totally relaxed after a LIVE performance done with a super-human perfection. At the end of a cadenza: not a long one. ROFL! That's interesting. Anna Netrebko is human, and even if she will do or she did some wrong things (NOT HERE) that doesn't change her status of cutting-edge artist.

[I just want to make clear that talking about this Db I'm using MY highest standards and in particular MY Anna Netrebko standards: a category on its own. If I would have to use the same standards with other singers I would have simply to close my hears and puke, considering that even using MY most indulgent standards, I can't hear 90% of actual opera singers for more than 20 seconds]

Yes you are right, she does it well but you know...it's glamorous showing a little bit of weakness sometimes, they feel you more human. The carrot....and the stick...like with donkeys!

When you are so good opinion about Anna's Netrebko performance please compare her role with really good opera singers. You may see long, long distance between very good singers and Ms Netrebko.
@tphowle Husky? Are you OK friend? Listen to Sting or Adams, they are husky for sure! Just can't find an example for you among the opera singers...

does anybodyealise that she does not hit the Db at 3:23/4 ... she always makes "tricks" vs. the original music writing ... she is ONLY a good actress with a beautiful voice that she does not know how to use it ....
Her voice seems a bit "husky" for this role now...
Nebtrebko is just the best. Such a great bonus that she can perform such physical feats while singing, too. But in this aria I think the putting on of the tights at the beginning and the catching of a bouquet from off-stage towards the end are awkward, distracting and pointless. I can imagine putting on the tights was meant to be seductive but I don't think it works that way in practice here.

Netrebko crie très bien, mais il faut faire aussi d'autres choses, écoutez d'autres extraits "quel guardo il cavaliere.." et vous "écouterez" bien les limites de cette belle femme et cantatrice moyenne. Exemple de comment une belle femme avec une puissante voix et beaucoup de marketing peux arriver à être considérée comme un grande cantatrice......pénible.
La he oido 3 veces en directo, una en recital y dos òperas en Parìs.....diva de marketing
Sigue cantando de manera extraordinaria, lástima que le sobren algunos kilos.

Gasping for air...we see based on what’s left of her voice today that she always had a very bad technique...and nowadays she sings the completely wrong repertoire as well...sadly
