@@chanceneck8072 ah, that's what you meant. I thought that this song was significant or something. Nah, let them figure it out on their own. Don't force anything on them.
For me, this ep is actually harder to watch than the previous one because the 'wrong doings' are all deliberate choices. Whereas, Charlie seemed to be an innocent victim of 'crazy island stuff' in 'Fire + Water'....he was just as distressed by his actions as everyone else was. The long con plot is really clever/well executed, but it depresses me that Sawyer is being so petty about people taking 'his' things....to the point where he involves Charlie as well. Excellent flashback with Cassidy....that's my favourite part of this ep. Thanks guys ❤
Cassidy is a really good character! It makes all the difference when secondary characters are interesting. Worst part was what Charlie did to Sun =/ Thanks! ❤️
I think Sawyer feels insecure about certain people being better than him, like Jack. That's why he would say no to Jack if he asked for stuff. You will notice people who are rude or disrespectful to him don't get anything. Sawyer also really does not appreciate anyone going through his stuff. When Hurley asked nicely for the manifest he got it.
O Jack estava a vasculhar a tenda do Sawyer.
lol, everybody shaking their heads up and down through this episode, getting con'd the whole time. That's ok, we all fell for it too. Now, Sawyer did start off taking stuff, hoarding stuff. No doubt about it. But Jack was going through that plane too, but because Jack was looking for medicine to help treat the Marshall, it's ok. Nothing prevented anyone else from looking through there to get stuff they might think they need, Sawyer is just the one to do something about it. But, there's no doubt he likes to push peoples buttons, and he's pretty good at it.
That's one of the great things Lost brings us. Enough character variety and depht, so that you agree with them one time and disagree with their actions other times.
"Live together, die alone". But it's so complicated for these characters to live together because they only want to do what they want. Without compromise. There, Jack went back on his agreement with Locke, just as Locke had gone back on his agreement with Jack not to enter the hatch the night they opened it, until the sun had risen. They promise but don't keep their promises. Sawyer is still a hell of a strategist. To build the long con in less than a day. For Cassidy, it had taken longer. But maybe she's smarter than Locke and Jack.
Locke didn't ever really have an agreement with Jack about not entering the hatch that night...Jack forced his will on him. Locke just temporarily 'agreed' because there was no point in causing a scene at that stage (because they needed to go back to the caves and update everybody). The gun situation is far more serious, imo, as it affects the entire group.
@@letsrock1729 JACK: How about you pack it up, John? LOCKE: Sure, of course. I think that's a pretty clear agreement. And if John didn't want to cause a scene, was it smarter to challenge Jack in front of everyone afterwards by saying that he was going to go down the hatch after all. As for the guns, it was just as irresponsible to try to take them as it was to hide them. And Sawyer proved that.🙂
Well, as we'll see in a near episode (not a spoiler cause we've watched it), quoting Ana: John and Jack are too busy with Jack and John, not only making Sawyer's con easier, but also invalidating those agreements you mentioned. I'd watch them argue all day, though 😁
I have no problem with Sawyer conning Jack and Locke this episode. He didn't get violent with them, he outsmarted them for control. I have a problem with what him and Charlie did to Sun.
There are two major clues for the long con, one in the flashback, one on the island. In the flashback, Sawyer used poorly made fake money, whereas in the first con, he left his money to the family, so they must have been real. He wanted her to feel in control. On the island, we saw Vincent right before Sun is kidnapped, so the culprit must have been someone Vincent trusts. Ana Lucia was a cop, especially sensitive to women and children issues, I think she would never create that kind of diversion. With a criminal, of all people? We know Jack is the "emergency requisition" kind of guy, sometimes he imposes himself on others to create favorable condition for the collective good. But in the last episodes, Locke forced his will over Charlie and Jack (not counting "the button"): not bad for someone who, a couple episodes ago, said "who are we to force someone to do anything".
