Being a VA will require you more hours of sitting depending on your profession taken because some of them needs to do conference with the client, talk to people (call or answer calls) and mostly it is a graveyardshift. Well, it's better than no work or working outside your house. $4/hr is low, should be 7$/hr and above.
I agree with the rate, before I watched the video and was given the breakdown of the monthly salary and that it's $4/hr, it dawned on me that it was actually so cheap. No wonder US companies hire from Asian countries, especially where the dollar value is higher. EDIT: I looked it up and fast-food workers get an average pay of $12/hr! We're basically being ripped off with that low rate.
I agree it is so cheap. Not long time ago I watched a lady saying should charge 10-20 USD entry level. I also red an African saying we should charge more because of the effort and the rate is low.
@@nsummer2661 the only reaso. Americans hire from the Philippines is because it is cheaper than hiring in America. If VAs start demanding hire pay, Americans might as well just hire other Americans.

You can ask for their social media accounts and LinkedIn or CVs to get to know them better. An interview as well can help you discern that. ☺️
