Before 1957 only 5% of total Tibetans had all the wealth, land, animals, right to taxation and serfs, when CCP came to force them to give up the feudal system the fled to India. The remaining 95% were serfs and bottom level caste farmers and merchants. The CCP confisticated the land and animals and divided it to the remaining 95% Tibetans. They build infrastructures and educate the children of former serfs. Now the privileged Tibetans in India with the help of Dalai Lama want to come back to-regain their feudal rules in China. Do you think the current well educated Tibetans in China would allow them? Think again.

I used to have a Tibetan classmate when I was a college student, despite some insignificant uncommon living habits (for Han Chinese), he's little different to other (Han Chinese) students, and he seems to be content with the CCP. (of course, we complain about the gov together, but he doesn't particularly "hate" the CCP more than we do) But I suppose he is the more secular and pro-Chinese kind of Tibetan, or he would not learn and speak Chinese that well and attend a Chinese university in east China. So he is probably not a good representative in my opinion. I read a lot about the Tibet from various sources. From the information I have, I guess, for secular Tibetans, the CCP's rule is not that bad, even pretty good. The Tibetan economy is heavily subsidized by the central government (130% of the Tibetan GDP, IIRC), and China also has its own version of affirmative actions for Tibetans when it comes to college admissions and job opportunities. I think the CCP's strategy is basically trying to buy loyalty from Tibetans by giving them higher living conditions. Also, a more prosperous and more modernized Tibet is not only good for Chinese economy but also leads to a less religious Tibet so that they can reduce the political influence of the monk class and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. But the Nepal king did not respond because he had british on his side...then The Chinese Manchu army marched to Kathmandu...when the king saw them near Kathmandu.. He begged for mercy and spare Kathmandu...After that every 5 years Kathmandu had to send gifts to the emperor as a tribute...that is how China saved Tibet from british gorkha .

I'm Tibetan and I really respect fellow Tibetans on their faith and believe on religion but too much is never a good thing. I strongly support modern education and development.. Tibet is overloaded with fucking religion since its birth... need to advance more in science and technology. And young Tibetans these days doing lots of self immolation, that's really a huge lose for Tibetan people. As we know the world gives a Fuck about Tibet. Every countries has their own problems to solve. I used to have a Tibetan classmate when I was a college student, despite some insignificant uncommon living habits (for Han Chinese), he's little different to other (Han Chinese) students, and he seems to be content with the CCP. (of course, we complain about the gov together, but he doesn't particularly "hate" the CCP more than we do) But I suppose he is the more secular and pro-Chinese kind of Tibetan, or he would not learn and speak Chinese that well and attend a Chinese university in east China. So he is probably not a good representative in my opinion.
I read a lot about the Tibet from various sources. From the information I have, I guess, for secular Tibetans, the CCP's rule is not that bad, even pretty good. The Tibetan economy is heavily subsidized by the central government (130% of the Tibetan GDP, IIRC), and China also has its own version of affirmative actions for Tibetans when it comes to college admissions and job opportunities. I think the CCP's strategy is basically trying to buy loyalty from Tibetans by giving them higher living conditions. Also, a more prosperous and more modernized Tibet is not only good for Chinese economy but also leads to a less religious Tibet so that they can reduce the political influence of the monk class and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. For very religious Tibetans and monks, though, the CCP's rule is a total disaster. And for the vast majority of Tibetans, they have mixed feelings (perhaps negative leaning) towards the CCP and want more political participation.

All i hear is religion based as to why it happened or told ya type. Where is the solution based on reasoning? We fugging lost our country because we did not have a proper deterrence!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? Why? Guns were in Tibet then, so why? Even Taiwan or Mongolia or even Hong Kong managed to stay independent with latter changing, but see though? Tibet is a highly religious based society and the religion that we call "Buddhism" is heavily metaphysicised! There is a much creative life out there without religion at all times.
