- Actor Robert Downey Jr. joins TODAY live to talk about playing the doctor who could talk to the animals in the new film “Dolittle.” “I’ve played Chaplin, I’ve played Sherlock, so I wanted to up my game a bit,” he jokes. Asked whether he’d be open to playing Iron Man again, he says, “we’ll see.”

I’m so glad RDJ was able, with help and determination, to grab control of his life. I don’t know him personally but he has entertained me through his characters.
Not everybody gets there from that place he landed either, in or out of Hollywood. It's always nice to see someone get the comeback and happy ending.
@Final Fantasy I'm pretty sure it was. But that's beyond the point of the comment, the point is that he got out of it, and because of that he was able entertain and inspire so many people across the world.
Afterlife is The Future I think it’s because if you’re old enough, you’d remember that in the early 2000s RDJ was known for going to jail a lot to where it became a punchline in mainstream media, so it’s always a fulfilling feeling seeing him well even if it’s been decades. I agree with you tho, no need to bring it up. It’s done and in the past.
When ironman died, it was the first time i cried since i was like 8 years old, so yeah. Pretty bloody heartbreaking.

When the interviewer first started to ask RDJ about Iron Man/ Tony Stark RDJ took a deep breath like either he was like oh here we go like it's an emotional topic for him or he was annoyed and tired of talking about Iron Man.
tara persad he did the same when she mentioned the highs and lows of his career. RDJ gets so many Ironman and his lows questions, that he’s probably tired of it. Especially the low points of his career. But the interviewers was very good and softening the iron man question.

Exactly! I love him in Less Than Zero, and when i was little, he was in a one-off Christmas show called Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree! He was very young (20s) and that was my first introduction to his acting. He's incredible!

Got a puppy in July 2019, he was named Tony Stark by the breeder and the litter was the Avengers litter. As I had no knowledge of who Tony Stark or the Avengers were, I searched. Turns out RDJ (Tony Stark) has the same birthday as my husband and the puppy was born on my birthday. This was meant to be my puppy. I ended up naming him Ty. Best Siberian ever.

I was 10 when the first iron man came out. I was right in that age group were we were not some little kid but were old enough to enjoy movies more. So for the past 12 years all i have none was seing a marvel movie every year amd having rdj part of it. Feels like a end of a era for me
He has done a lot for fans over the years and has had his ups and downs in life. unless they do a spin off like in comics and do War Machine , Rescue or other comies not sure the character name who he was her ai in comics. no one can replace him as Iron Man. so unless they find way to have him come back somehow or do spin off, then give him chance to enjoy what hs has done and take break from marvel unless otherwise

The fact that a lot of negative reviews about this film because reviewers are adults, this film is for kids it is rated "pg" and reviewers really disrespect by saying the negatives, bcause kids as audience didn't care about how bad a movie is or how poor the cinematography is, kids just wanna have fun watching, this is about segmented film not about the film itself
You know there are many films with a PG rating that have positive reviews right? All the Disney/Pixar films and the universal minion's films as well.
