  • This is the third installment of the Garage built custom Harley Davidson of my dreams. It's almost complete, just a few more things and it will be finished. In this video I get the tail lights installed and the oil filled up and its the FIRST START since I started the build. The new exhaust sounds amazing.

I subscribed immediately. When you said maybe you can see. It's all blacked out and I love it. I'm so tired of chrome. I just purchased a 05 deluxe and will be doing the same exact thing.

Clean bike. Just a tip, when doing exhaust wrap, wrap from the bottom up. When you start from the bottom (or Back) and go up (forward) the layers of the wrap overlap to prevent water, dirt, wind, etc from getting into each layer which will cause it to tear, rip, and get worn quicker. And it also gives a cleaner look.
Upon further review, don't mind the part about the wrap. I see you did go from back to front. Once again, clean bike, great job man.

I love how he said “that is loud “ 10:00 and then accelerates it to make it even louder 😂

    Dude Meister
Don't short run your bike . Oil will get acids and water in it from combustion byproduct . Get it hot and run it for 45min or more of road time . Evap. the water in the oil .
    Nice ride

@@softailnation condensation happens. and when not given enough time to evap that condensation, it ends up in the oil. If you ride(run) the bike every so often or go for long trips its not that big of an issue. It's mainly when the bike sits for long times, you start it and run it for 10 mins, then let sit for a long time again is when the issue usually happens. Biggest thing is keep an eye on your oil, if it starts to look kinda milky, change it. That milky look is water mixing with the oil.
I leave my bike outside, uncovered, and I work so much I dont have time to ride as much as I'd like to, I check my oil every so often and its good. I'm in a area were it doesn't get that cold and we get rain (not snow) and mine is good. You should be ok

I grew up around hotrods, never made any progress. Built a Harley in my bedroom and rode it all over the Country. I don't know anyone that has done that with a street rod, they pretend but have a real mechanic and a cattle trailer close behind

Nice customizations! Where did you get these nice black ring covers for your head and twin lights? Could you please post the article and vendor? Have they been in (vivid) black already or have you painted them on your own? Thanks!

Awesome job brother!! i took my front end off to powder coat black. Did you have to cut the wires out of the headlight and passenger lights? i dont want to cut them before powder coat, how did you do it?

I have a pretty stupid question. I am about to buy my first softail. Do i need to invest in imperial sized tools ? My guess is that there is not a single metric nut or bolt on Harley and i havent own anything made in USA yet.

Harley's are weird sometimes. For the most part, everything is imperial, but you will find some metrics at times (depending on what year bike you have).
